Fantastic location

Perfect location, lovely apartment

The apartment is perfectly located, just minutes away from the Atocha train station, the Prado, Botanical Gardens, other museums. Close to excellent tapas bars. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Stay in Madrid

The apartment was just perfect for our family trip. It was clean and well-appointed. The location was great—within easy walking distance to the Prado, Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor. Javier was extremely accommodating and easy to work with throughout the entire process and during our stay. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Madrid.

Great stay

Three couples stayed in this apartment for 5 days. Everything was great - starting with initial communication with the owner, Javier. The apartment was very functional with all necessary appliances including a washer & dryer. We loved the location - close to the train station and museums. Highly recommend this apartment.

Amazing apartment in Madrid!

This apartment is extremely clean and comfortable. Javier is a fantastic host. He was responsive from my first message pre booking up until the day we checked out. The host has a ton of maps and info about Madrid on hand at the rental.

Wonderful first visit to Madrid

Our stay in Madrid was enhanced by staying here. It was so convenient. Javier our host met us, helped us find parking, and made sure everything was ok from the beginning. Everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance. We would definitely stay here when visiting Madrid in the future.

Fantastic Stay!

We had a great stay and would highly recommend this apartment! It is very roomy, well-stocked and comfortable - the pictures don’t do it justice. The neighborhood has lots of character and is just steps to the metro, Prado, market, etc. our family of five enjoyed the extra space to spread out and the ease of getting around. Javier was an excellent host! He met us very early after an overnight flight and was immediately responsive when we had a quick question during our stay. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Madrid!

Great Madrid Location!

Javier was an excellent host. The property was in a fantastic location (3 minute walk to el Prado and close to so much more), large enough to spread out in and very well appointed. Javier was extremely responsive and easy to work with. No AC but fans throughout so we were comfortable in 90 degree weather. We would highly recommend this VRBO to others.

Spacious, clean and wonderful!

We loved our time at this rental. It was even bigger than we expected and gave our family of 5 plenty of room to spread out and relax. Javier was an an incredible host! He welcomed us with an early check in, explained everything and even left us breakfast foods, coffee and many supplies. The kitchen and laundry machines within the apartment were great too! The street was convenient to many sights and the area felt very safe. Muchas gracias to our host for a wonderful stay!

Great Place

The apartment is well stocked, clean and in a great location. We are a family of 6 adults and had plenty of space. Javier was very helpful, he helped arrange transport back to the airport and reservations for a restaurant that needed a local number. Well worth it for the location, access to museums within a 5-10 min walk and large living areas. The street at night can get a bit loud if you leave the windows wide open, but it wasn’t a huge issue. Overall we would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Home away from home in Madrid!

We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Casa Moratin. We were a group of ten people ranging in age from 80 years old to teens. From the moment I booked the property Javier was responsive and provided tons of great information for our arrival. We had tons of space and the location truly can't be beat. You can walk everywhere! There are tons of great restaurants all around the neighborhood and an excellent grocery store a few blocks away. We will definitely book this property again on a future trip to Madrid!

Great apartment

We enjoyed our stay in the home. Javier was extremely accommodating. The location was lovely and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The neighborhood was a little loud at night (a restaurant and a party) and there was some construction but we managed. There is no air conditioning but ceiling fans and a couple of oscillating fans helped. Kitchen was well appointed and Javier went above and beyond even providing a few items for us. This rental is great.

Great place to stay in Madrid!

We were a group of five 50-somethings who stayed for several nights in this apartment. Javier was super easy to work with, and he promptly fixed a minor issue we had with the sink. The apartment is clean and spacious. Location is terrific - close to the heart of the city. A little bit of street noise heard from some of the bedrooms, but not too bad. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen is well-equipped (although we didn't make any large meals there). Would highly recommend this rental!!

Excellent place to stay in Madrid!

We really enjoyed staying at this property! Javier was an excellent host, and gave a great intro to things at the apartment, and overview of the neighborhood. (Grocery store, Coffee shop, and Bicycle rental very close by) The location in Madrid is fabulous - just a short walk to Retiro Park, Plaza Major, Palacio Real, etc. We had plenty of room for our group of 7 (kids/teen, adults, grandparents). The dining room/kitchen was well suited for family dinners. There was mild street noise, but nothing significant. The apartment was very secure as well. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others!

Superb property, great location, fantastic host!

We are a group of four friends who stayed at the property for three nights over a long weekend in June 2018. All round, the apartment was an excellent choice. It is spacious, clean, very well furnished and in a great location, within walking distance to everything that we wanted to visit. There are numerous restaurants, bars and shops in the immediate vicinity, and the central area is a 10 minute walk away. Javier made things very easy for us. Communication before and during our stay was always prompt and helpful; and he was on hand to assist whenever required. Some additional extras thrown in - toiletries, soft drinks and beer - were a very nice touch, and much appreciated. In short, we would highly recommend this property.

Very nice and confortable apartment well located in Madrid

This apartment is large, clean, modern, well located near Parque del Retiro and Museo del Prado. The owner is well organized, polite, helpful. It has been a pleasure to stay in this flat for 5 nights with my family of 9 people. I highly recommend this apartment where you can find anything you need by the time you arrive : water fruit juice wine in the fridge, all kitchen tools you need, garbage bags, in fact just everything you have in your house. There is also a very useful laundry with washing machine and dryer, and everything is provided so you do not have to buy it ! Everyone in my family has loved this apartment (even if you have to walk up one flight of stairs - my parents are 80 and they did not complain once) So do not hesitate to rent to Javier, the owner, who is a trustworthy, responsible housing provider.

The Perfect Place to Stay in Madrid

We travelled to Madrid for vacation as a family of four with two adult children in their early twenties. The apartment is quite possibly in the best location in Madrid. It is right next to the Parque de Retiro and Prado Museum and a short 15 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor. There is a grocery store two blocks up the street and numerous cafes and restaurants within walking distance. We did not need to take the metro or bus anywhere. It is also a short 15 minute walk to the Atocha Train Station that can take you to other cities in Spain and Europe. The neighborhood was safe and secure. The rental itself was beautiful and very spacious. Javier paid a lot of attention to the small details that make the difference. The apartment is two floors with the bedrooms upstairs. There was soap and shampoo and hair dryers in all the bathrooms. The fridge came stocked with bottled water, butter, jam, and milk and there was coffee and tea provided in addition to staples like sugar, salt, olive oil, spices, etc. Javier was a most gracious host and met us at the apartment to orient us to the city and show us around the apartment. For families traveling with smaller children, there was a large bedroom with a full-size bed and two twin beds and I noticed that there was a playpen in one of the closets. The other bedrooms had full-sized beds that two people could sleep in. We would definitely rent this apartment again the next time we travel to Madrid.

Awesome place, awesome owner!

Our family of 6 stayed on the 1st floor apartment for 5 nights in April 2019. First, about Javier, the owner. Super nice guy. Spoke good enough English to answer all our questions. Also great communication using WhatsApp. We arrived late in the evening but Javier was there to meet us and make us feel very much at home. He took a lot of time with a large map pointing out the local Metro station (right up the street) markets, and local restaurants. The apartment is fantastic. The boys had their own room, as did my daughter, my mother-in-law, and my wife and I. Enough bathrooms to go around. Lots of space to relax. The kitchen was very nice. The toaster and the coffee maker did most of the work. Dishwasher was a definite plus. As soon as Javier left, we started making mental notes on some groceries to pick up at the market. We opened the fridge and found brand new milk, orange juice, butter, some packets of jam, bottled water, and 4 beers. There was coffee and filters, bread, and packages of muffins and croissants. Great welcoming touch! The street looks a bit sketchy with some graffiti, but the location is actually great. The apartment had lots of balconies to hang out and relax. The metro stop is up the street, and a great burger joint (Skyline Diner) is literally steps away. Lots of things in walking distance and the Metro makes everything close. There was some street noise in the early morning hours and trash and bottle collection promptly at 2AM every morning. But, when you live like a native, embrace it! All of the appliances were top notch. We really appreciated the washer and dryer! All manuals for the appliances were handy, and I needed a quick review for the washing machine, but all things were explained satisfactorily. On our second day, Javier notified us of a possible problem with the heating system, which we had not used. He was very apologetic and had the problem (which we didn't even know about) fixed promptly the next day. Javier also left a new bag of coffee...! If you're considering a stay here... do it!

Una joya de propiedad en una joya de barrio

Excelente espacio y amenidades en un área, Las letras, que queda en el mismo corazón de Madrid centro y su casco histórico. A pasos del Prado y del mercado Antón Martín, el apartamento esta rodeado de bares, restaurantes y tiendas de conveniencia. La propiedad es amplisima, con 4 habitaciones muy cómodas y 2.5 baños con toallas y ropa de cama en abundancia. La cocina perfectamente equipada. Disfrutamos de comodidades raras en propiedades similares, como lavadora con secadora, lavaplatos y microondas. Encontramos todo limpio y listo y Javier siempre a la disposición y en animos de ayudar y hacer todo placentero. A+

Perfect verblijf

Het appartement was zeer netjes, alles was keurig schoon en functioneerde prima. De ontvangst was ook goed, Javier heeft ons tips gegeven over de omgeving en bezienswaardigheden. Op zondag was het wat luidruchtig bij een nabijgelegen horecagelegenheid, maar dat risico loop je als je midden in de stad wil verblijven. Het heeft ons niet gestoord. Er zijn veel zéér goede restaurants in de omgeving. Ik zou deze locatie van harte aanbevelen.
