Perfect Vacation Stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kona Mansions! The space had everything we needed, including lots of convenient extras like beach toys, beach chairs, even a cooler bag for lunches on the go. Very convenient to have a key code and not worry about keeping keys on us as we visited all around the island! Parking was so convenient and easy walking to everything around town. Laundry in the unit was a huge perk for us as well! The property manager was very communicative and checked in on the phone to make sure everything was going well.

Nice Condo

The place was great. They had a nice welcome basket and stayed in touch for the entire stay to make sure everything was going well. It is a short walk to down town Kona. We could see the ocean from the living room which was really cool.

Too many steps!

43 steps to get your suitcases from the parking area to the bedroom. Not fun if you are a senior!! Balcony is off the bedroom so not convenient to eat there to watch the ocean.Within walking distance to most things. No dishwasher.

Perfect Location in Kona

The condo is just at the end of the strip. Has a view of the ocean and is close enough to walk to everything. Luau just across the street.

Perfect Choice

Everything was clean and comfy. Just a few blocks from the village of Kailua-Kona restaurants and shopping. Live music, happy people, and beautiful sunsets every evening. Will definitely stay at this condo again!

Relaxing and convenient location

This property is excellent! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nicely stocked. They could upgrade a few of the pots and pans and maybe add an electric tea kettle but we had everything we needed and they left a nice goodie bag. The walk to downtown Kona is very easy and convenient. Gorgeous view from the master bedroom deck as well. Property management was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Amazing Stay in Kona

The condo is located in a great area - walking distance to downtown Kona and points north/south. Clean and comfortable - well appointed kitchen for cooking - you will want to bring your own spices beyond s&p (no big deal if you enjoy cooking). There is a starter dish soap and hotel size soap/shampoo/conditioner - bring more based on the length of your stay. Location is very quiet at night, which is nice after a long day sighseeing on the Big Island. The Royal Kona Resort just down the street has a great Luau. You will absolutely enjoy this propery during your stay... Mahalo!

Quick trip to Kona

Everything was exactly as stated. The only problem we had was that there wasn’t central air and the upstairs a/c unit wasn’t working when we arrived so our first night was rather miserable sleeping with only open windows and fans. It was fixed the next day but the unit really only cools the main bedroom, not the entire upstairs floor. Well supplied, great location. Walking distance to a lot of places. Would recommend!

Pretty OK place with ocean views

Not bad, not great, but it did the trick for our stay! We had ample room, all utensils and necessities in the kitchen and the washer/dryer was a plus. The starter package of 4 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towel for 11 days is a little cheap in my opinion. Just supply what a guests needs, why nickle and dime? This stay was nice. It had what we needed, it was nothing extravagant or boujie, but for the price I felt that was fair. Bring your binocs to watch the whales from the master patio!

Close to amenities and clean

The property was well kept. Two bedrooms were perfect for our family. At first no a/c in second bedroom worried me, but we all adjusted to the Hawaii temps and didn't even use the a/c much after day 3. Parking spot was close to the unit. Unit was clean and we were greeted in person at check in. The pool was a huge hit since the kids were timid of the ocean waves. We would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to restaurants and beach. We explored a bit more outside of Kona on this trip and found the condo a perfect hub to come back to everyday. Linens and pillows could be updated, and washer has a loud spin cycle. However, it was critical to have a washer and dryer since we packed light. The kitchen was fully stocked with any sort of cooking utensil you may need and the welcome gifts were a nice touch. There was also beach towels, some flotas, pool noodles, and beach chairs and umbrellas. The sunscreen they had was not reef friendly, so I'd suggest against using that at the beach and invest in a bottle of reef friendly sunscreen. The ocean life is incredible and we brought our own snorkels on this trip. The kids loved the chocolate covered macadamia nuts. This would be a great place to book if you're looking for a mix of local activities and day trips out of Kona.

Ultra clean. Great location

We were very happy with this unit. It was well-stocked with what we needed. We did not cook much, so I cannot comment much on that, but plenty of towels, tp, washer/dryer. The unit was VERY clean. Our property contact was very attentive and even answered a couple of texts I sent outside of regular hours.

Very nice

Beautiful view, Kitchen, baths n master bedroom very nice;; Because my husband and ai are in our golden years the exterior flight of stairs and interior flight of stairs were a challenge for us. B The carpet needs to be replaced as it is outdated n has an odor, the second bedroom needs new fan with light as it looks like it was installed around the 70’s! Some of the wooden louvers fell out as we opened them up for air since it was hot and stuffy! We did get fans n air conditioners going which made rooms comfortable. We could not find an iron as we got ready for the wedding but we improvised n put my dress in dryer to get wrinkles out; it did the job! Very quiet n peaceful! Hope this helps.

Clean, quiet conveniently located in Kona to food, shoreline, shopping. Second bedroom really could use A.X unit as it was hot for sleeping. Pillows were flat, bought some at local store so we could sleep better. Towels were plentiful, beach towels also. Kitchen stocked with pans, utensils and othrrvthings well enough to do cooking. Would stay again..especially if second bedroom had A.C.

A great place to stay

Pros: Very clean unit, you could eat off the floor, well stocked kitchen, washer dryer like new, AC unit in bedroom was used every night so I could sleep in the 85 degree humid weather, bed was VERY comfortable, sheets were high quality. Outdoor landscaping and pool area very nice, nice view from upper lanai, property management company is very responsive. good location for walking into town for happy hour or coffee Cons: A few lightbulbs burnt out in bedrooms, no AC in second bedroom, young families with kids live in neighboring units can be a little noisy but friendly. There is a lot of traffic noise by the pool area

Not that this could be fixed but I would have liked if the lanai was off the living room and not off the master. A bit hard to bring food, coffee or drinks up stairs just to sit on the lanai. The room with the twin beds does not have an AC and the windows are only screens with shutters on the outside. Every night I had to listen to the neighbors child whine and you can hear anyone chatting near by if their doors are open. Other than that it is a nice place.
