Great spot across from beach!

The condo was perfect for our week and a half stay! Right across from Magic Sands Beach. The condo had beach chairs, an umbrella, and some toys that were perfect for our stay. Joanne was very helpful with any questions I had for our stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Ideal spot

We arrived to a spotlessly clean condo with all the conveniences of home. We love the large lanai which is perfect for watching the ocean waves or the beautiful sunsets. The bed was very comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped. Everything we needed for a day at the beach was appreciated - comfy beach chairs, coolers, even snorkel gear. We have stayed in this condo twice and we are planning to return again. Thank you for letting me purchase a new coffee pot and refunding me.

Perfect lanai to start and end the day!

This rental was perfect for our family of four. 3rd floor unit offers excellent views of both the pool area and beach/ocean. Spacious, well laid out and well-appointed with everything you need from making meals to going to the beach. Joanne went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and satisfied. Good showers and beds. 4 miles south of Kona and easy access to highway bypassing Kona for those days you go off exploring. If you're an early riser, there are dedicated walking/ biking lanes on both sides of Ali'i drive with plenty of other beaches and shoreline accesses within walking distance to discover. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful Kailua-Kona Location

This condo was a perfect fit for the Kona side of our Hawaiian vacation. It was a short drive to town and to groceries. It was also located right across the street from Magic Sands Beach which was a fabulous!

Great property in the heart of beachy Kailua-Kona

This was a very comfortable home base for my family of 4. It was great to be right across the street from the beach and a short drive to lots of touristy activities. The host was very communicative to make sure we were ready to have a wonderful visit. We were happy to use their beach supplies and the laundry facilities. I hope we get to return!

First time to Big Island

Our first time to the Big Island was memorable! The location of the condo is just perfect, not too far but far enough from the "touristy' side of this island! We liked that our door was close to the elevator to make unloading easier. It was great to have a beach across the street and a pool in the middle of the property. The condo was well stocked and having a washer and dryer was super helpful! We also appreciated the new walk-in shower! We look forward to booking at this location in the future!

Great location with everything you need!

We appreciated the location which worked perfectly for all of our outings. The pool and outdoor shared space was perfect to relax at when we returned from our day of snorkeling, volcano viewing, stargazing at Mauna Kea, whale watching and finding the perfect beach. We watched the sunset across the street at Magic Sands. Our hosts were helpful, flexible and positively communicated with us before and during our stay.

Fabulous condo

We stayed in this beautiful condo for 4 weeks and enjoyed every minute. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and outfitted with everything we could possibly need. The location is perfect, being close to town and with a wonderful beach right across the road. Unfortunately the construction beside the beach was very noisy and started at 7:00 most days. Hopefully it will be completed by the time we come back in January 2024. We are so happy we found your condo.

Wonderful Condo and Location

Joanne has a fantastic condo that my two kids and I loved. It was much bigger than we expected, exceptionally clean, perfectly appointed kitchen, great beds, huge furnished balcony, in a nice complex, steps from an incredible beach. They had a 'magic closet' as my daughter said when she found it: ice chests, folding chairs, snorkle gear, beach mats, toys, water shoes and lots more- I left behind some things I'd bought and encourage the next guests to do the same. Thank you Joanne for your condo- it was a big part of our fantastic trip to the Big Island. I will be staying there again in a year or two.

Our holiday visit to The Big Island turned out perfect for a first time visit to Hawaii for our 14 and 9 year old grandkids. The Kahaluu Bay Condo was the icing on the cake when it came to location, comfort, swimming, beach access, and style. The special touches and amenities were amazing, from snorkel gear a plenty, boogie boards, sand chairs, beach towels, sand toys, books, dvds, a welcome bottle of wine, comfy beds / furniture, stocked kitchen, sunset views, and the list goes on. This place and owners are gems. Communication was awesome and we hope to return soon. Thankyou.

Nice condo

This condo was nice and very clean! Pros: clean, roomy, nice floor plan, great pool and facilities, good communication from owner, parking, excellent A/C for sleeping, well stocked kitchen and beach gear, easy to locate Cons: public beach across the street was very loud and crowded during the day which made being in the condo during the day not very relaxing; White Sands Beach parking lot was closed/under construction while we were there, so parking and traffic was heavy on Alii Drive. Overall, this was a great condo in a really nice complex. If daytime noise doesn't bother you, it is a wonderful place to stay.

Across the street from Magic Sands Beach

A scrupulously clean condo directly across the street from one of the rare sand beaches in the area. On Kona's "main drag" (Ali'i Drive), but not right in the middle of the touristy chaos. Lovely lanai accessible from both the living room and the main bedroom, with a glorious view of beach sunsets. Closet full of anything one would want for a beach or pool day: floats, boogie boards, beach chairs, towels, coolers. So nice to not have to pack those items! The owners were extremely kind and lovely to work with, as well as gracious about accommodating my partner's need for some extra checkout time (he had become ill during our trip). I recommend this location unequivocally!

Home away from home!

We loved our stay at Joanne and Randy's condo! It truly was a home away from home and provided everything we could possibly have needed or thought of. We've stayed at the White Sands Village on previous trips and have always enjoyed the property, but this condo was definitely one of our favorites! The convenient location to the elevator and parking spot was incredibly helpful for our group. The beds and other pieces of furniture were very comfortable. The lanai was our favorite spot and was used a lot for early morning breakfast and provided the perfect view for nightly sunset photos! The hosts were very communicative and always ready with answers or helpful info when needed. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and will absolutely look into booking here again in the future! Thank you for everything!

Extremely well furnished throughout. Plenty of space for our family of 4 to be comfortable.

We love this place! We were not disappointed at all. Quite the opposite is true. The king size master bed was very comfortable. The pool and grill area are fantastic. We have done similar VRBO rentals three times before, and this is by far the best place overall. When we plan a big island trip in the future, we will stay here. No question. The beach right across the street is beautiful. We loved going for a run or a walk right in the neighborhood, and It's just about 3 miles to easy grocery shopping in Kona. Stay here. It's perfect! In addition to all of that, Joanne was a wonderful host every step of the way. She always responded promptly and made sure everything was right for us.

We had the best vacation in Kona! We were so sad to be leaving, but know we will be back! All the amenities within Joanne and Randy’s condo was so helpful and useful to us! It truly is a home away from home. We flew into the island when there was a projected tropical storm that would hit that next day. We felt loved and taken care of! One of the shower doors wasn’t sliding and Joanne immediately called a handyman to fix it for us. Ours kids, who are 8 and 5 could not stop saying “Wow!” when we went into the home. To this day, now that we’re back home they still talk about Kona. What a memorable vacation, thank you for sharing your home with us! We would highly recommend this VRBO.

Excellent Location with all the Amenities

The place was excellent. We loved the location near White Sands Beach. It was close enough to the Downtown Kona area and the Kahaluu Beach Park where we did most of our snorkeling. All amenities that one would expect were provided and things you also my have not have expected. They were beach chairs and boogie boards and coolers. I think the was snorkel gear also but we had our own and did not use theirs. The washer and dryer were a big plus (laundry detergent was provided also). Wi-Fi was excellent. One hiccup with the TV/Cable (The system seemed to reset and took about 10 minutes to work after that. But who goes to Hawaii to watch TV anyways. The host checked in with us via telephone the second day to make sure everything was satisfactory. We would definitely stay here again
