Friendly host not great location

The host was very friendly, the location was not ideal for us. The pool area was nice and the gated community was nice. The neighborhood around the area wasn’t as nice. It was farther away from the places and restaurants we wanted. The main bathroom shower wasn’t the greatest to work either. But the room was clean and everything. Also keep in mind there isn’t shampoo or coffee for the coffee machine! The pool isn’t right outside the door either, it’s a little walk but not bad!

Good stay, with room for improvement

Host was very nice, responsive and provided lots of information. Condo is modern and very nicely decorated, but a bit worn down. Kitchen needs to be restocked (pans are worn, the table settings are not the same and or in various numbers)... we tried to cook for my parents the first night but it was challenging with both space and stuff. Cleaning hadn't been great of the kitchen gear either so we spent a bit of time re-washing. It is a great condo if you plan to eat out most of the time. Most of what you see - both from the condo and when walking/driving in the neighborhood - is parking lots and cars. The pool area closest to the condo is nice and there is a BBQ there. The location of the neighborhood is convenient... close to the airport, close to North Mountain for hiking, and close to shopping, etc. My kids really enjoyed the PacMan machine. Though very bright in the pictures, the condo felt more dark in reality (we were there in December, where it is a little less sunny but we had nice weather). The blind in the guest bedroom didn't work so it was stuck down, contributing to the dark feeling. The heating unit can be quite noisy when on, so not great for light sleepers in the guest bedroom. Owner is aware of the window blind and the frying pans so I am sure those elements will get addressed/improved.

Very clean condo

Our condo was very clean and neat and very convenient to all restaurants, etc. We loved the beautiful heated pool and jacuzzi. We will definitely be coming back! Mollie

Difficult to navigate

Very difficult to find, hard to get into unit parking is far from unit. Host needs to get new cleaning lady there was Margarita left in and on the mixer. And had to clean all pots and pans befor cooked due to food left in. Unit was nice just a little dark. No light. Liked pac man!!

Helpful host

The property is exactly as advertised. One of the most comfortable beds I have had at a vrbo. We Had a group member cancel so we didn't need the property as long as we booked and even though it was a non-refundable booking the host was great at communication and working with us to find a solution that was good for both of us.

Desert Retreat

Our stay at Desert Retreat was enjoyable. The condo had all we needed, the complex grounds are beautiful, and the unit is nicely decorated. Joel was quick to respond with any questions we had.

2nd Time Around

I was delighted to find this property available on the right dates for a second visit. My grandkids and I stayed once before and loved it! It’s clean, inviting, beautifully appointed, and has everything you need to enjoy your vacation! Joel is a super communicator and has gone way beyond to make sure your stay is fun and relaxing. The pools are clean. The parking is designated and covered, so never a hassle. The gated community provides a layer of security. It’s just a lovely, conveniently located property. The beds are great, the kitchen has all the necessary stuff and the washer and dryer are huge and clean as a pin. We will be back!

Perfect Condo, Perfect location!

The host put his heart into making this condo a welcoming, comfortable, well appointed condo. Clean as a pin and cute as can be! The beds were extra comfy with adorable sheets. The kitchen was supplied with every possible thing you need. We used the cookie sheet to make delicious cookies. The towels were thick and luxurious. The Pac-Man was frosting on the cake! It was so nice to have our vacation enhanced by a wonderful place to call home!

Amazing host

This condo was the perfect place for my family and I. We were in town for 6 days for my graduation, and the host Joel made sure that everything went well. The condo was clean, check in was very easy, nice quiet neighborhood, and we had the pool mostly to ourselves. The hot water wasn't working to well but when Joel chrcked in with us, he came to fix the issues next day. The trip was amazing and staying here was awesome! We will definitely stay here again when were back in town. Thanks Joel!

Clean, cozy condo

The condo was great! Check in was very easy, and the owner, Joel, was quick to answer any questions we had. The condo was well equipped with everything you would need, down to a hair dryer and a Belgian waffle maker! The pool areas were very clean and comfortable. We loved that the complex was gated and offered convenient parking under cover. We will definitely stay here again for future visits to the area.

Had everything we needed.

The property was very clean and had everything we needed. My kids loved the pac man game and enjoyed having that to do. We drove through some questionable areas when coming from the airport but closer to the condo was nice and the area is gated so we felt safer. The weather was cool so we didn't get to enjoy the pools but it looked nice. My only complaint would be the people upstairs were pretty heavy footed and were up and moving around very early which gave us an early wake up call. But you could have that anywhere you stay.

Great getaway

This is a good location to stay when visiting Pheonix and various sites in Arizona! When driving from the Airport the area you drive through is questionable but this condo is located in a secure, gated community near nice suburban neighborhoods of North Pheonix (North Mountain). Many great restaurants are within a short drive. The condo itself is very nice inside, 2 bedrooms with king sized beds and each with their own bathroom. It was perfect for 2 couples traveling together. The kitchen is well stocked with all the necessary utensils to prepare meals. There was plenty of hot water with 4 people getting ready in the morning. Great and prompt communication from the host, Joel. The pac-man machine was a nice touch, good luck beating our 50k plus high scores! We would stay again!

End of April get away.

Stayed here last year , and we enjoyed it so we rented it again this year. Weather was fabulous- in the 90's. Coming from Iowa was it was perfect. Place was clean and comfortable.
