I had two main issues with this property:
1. The check in process was terrible. I think the issue was that I paid for the room when I booked it through Vrbo but some how the funds weren't transferred to the hotel. (Honestly, I am still not entirely clear on the problem. The situation was stressful and not communicated very clearly.) The front desk attendant called Vrbo and had me speak with them to sort this out. Vrbo said we had paid and I had my credit card statement that showed we paid. I don't think it was entirely appropriate to have me speak with Vrbo about this -- as the customer, I did what I was supposed to and paid when I booked the room. This was a problem between Vrbo and the property so I'm not sure why my involvement was needed. I was forced to stand in the lobby, explaining multiple times that Vrbo said we had paid. That was embarrassing as other guests came and went -- we really came across as deadbeats refusing to pay when we had done nothing wrong. (To be fair to the hotel, I also think this was partially Vrbo's fault. They need to make sure the properties get paid!) The front desk attendant also suggested that we could pay a second time. I wasn't really open to that. I was concerned about getting my money refunded since the customer experience was pretty poor to begin with.
2. The room did not have an oven, just a stove top. I brought food to cook that required an oven. The listing should make this clear! We ended up cooking a frozen pizza in the microwave/stove top. So if you book this room, be prepared to just have a stove top with NO OVEN.
The rest of the room was mostly fine.
