First of all, it was a pleasure to host you at our property and we are sorry that the dated furniture was not up to your standards. Your booking request was last minute and it appears that you did not look at the pictures of the condo at the website since, if you had, you would have seen that our condo does not have luxurious features. We have always offered down to earth features that are very comfortable for a below average price. We fitted you in on a last minute basis and even gave you a further discount for a short stay (that we usually do not do), so for you to complain about our dated furniture is very disappointing. At the end of the day, all of our other 30 guests that left positive reviews had the same furniture and they definitely enjoyed their stay with us, and we are happy to stay as a budget accommodation offering a lot of features for an economic price. Otherwise, thank you for your stay and wish you the best for 2026.

Thank you very much for your kind words regarding your stay at our condo in Sunset Crest St James Barbados. We are extremely happy that you enjoyed your stay and our condo's location and we are lucky to be located right next to the Sunset Mall (that has a large Cave Sheppard, CIBC-First Caribbean bank branch and a number of other small shops). Also, as you mentioned, having the Italia Coffee shop directly across the street in a mini-mall that has a local convenience store, hair dressing shop and another vegetarian coffee shop (Maya) provides extra value to any guest staying at our condo. Finally, thank you for mentioning our wonderful Barbados staff (Sarah and Bonita) without whom the service we provide our guests would simply not be possible. With respect to your claim that the condo was not clean when you arrived, this is the first time that any of our guests has ever made this type of claim and, quite honestly, you completely failed to mention this when you first met our property manager and throughout your stay. I was in contact with you during your stay and you never mentioned anything to me either. Had you done so, we would immediately have remedied the situation, just like I did when you requested for your daughter to join you and your wife at the condo, we immediately agreed; or when you wanted to move in at an earlier time (that we also agreed to) or when your daughter locked the bathroom from the inside on the date of her arrival that, within half an hour of you contacting us, I gave you permission to break the lock to regain access to the bathroom facilities. With respect to your other claims, yes, it does appear that our previous guest removed the smoke alarm from its location in front of the kitchen entrance and that went unnoticed by us because we were rushing to get the place ready for your arrival. With regards to your comments regarding numerous electrical extensions in use, they are actually surge protectors to prevent electrical mishaps (Barbados gets power outages on a regular basis). Overall, we have concluded that your comments were disingenuous and misleading and designed to cover up for the mishap of the bathroom lock that "locked itself" (as you claimed) that, once we reviewed the matter, we discovered there was nothing wrong with the lock and it had clearly been locked by someone in the unit (on the very same afternoon when you daughter arrived at the condo). We understand this likely was not intended but for you to then make assertions about the fan (there is nothing wrong with it|), the electrical extensions and overall imply that the condo is unsafe is absolutely inappropriate and disgraceful. We have stated from the outset that our condo is a budget accommodation but does provide for everything that might be needed for a comfortable stay with numerous amenities and we are truly sorry that you couldn't recognize it for what it is.

Hi again Alison and Brian, It was a pleasure to have you return to our condo and we couldn't be happier that you appreciated the many changes that we have made over the last 6 months or so. We are still awaiting the installation of the internet service at the condo and, unfortunately, things do take longer to get accomplished in Barbados so the service is not quite setup yet. We will update our ad at the website when the in-condo internet service is finally installed but, in the meantime, the internet service from the coffee shop across the street is still up and running smoothly so, in any event, guests will continue to have internet service available to them when they stay at our condo. Dear Angelo, We are extremely happy that you found the condo suitable for your family's stay and that you were overall happy with the accommodations. Your travel time in August was an extremely hot time of the year to visit Barbados so it was unavoidable that you would find the condo hot at that time of the year. It is for that reason that we have air conditioning in the bedroom and the use of the A/C is included in the cost of the booking. Most places with A/C in Sunset Crest charge extra for its use but we do not. Finally, while we are a "budget" type accommodation, we do try to provide everything that a guest would need to be comfortable and to truly have a wonderful stay in Barbados and we are extremely happy that you were able to enjoy your stay.
