Our family of three (plus one small hypoallergenic dog) moved to Ann Arbor following a fellowship at the University of Michigan. We simply didn't want to leave. Then we found this house, nestled into the "Oak Crest" neighborhood between Michigan Stadium, Allmendinger Park, and Pioneer High School, and we fell in love. Everything in Ann Arbor is walkable from here, including Liberty Street and all its restaurants, the University of Michigan's central campus and golf course, Washtenaw Dairy, Michigan Stadium, and the Crisler Center.

Aside from the obvious location, the house itself is historically significant because it was originally located inside what is now Michigan Stadium. In 1926, the University of Michigan acquired this house from its then occupants, the Malloy family, and paid a house mover $600 to move it two blocks to its current location on Keech Ave (we have a copy of the contract) so that Michigan Stadium could be built where it currently is. In 2009, the house was remodeled with a backyard addition, so it feels very modern and up to date. It has central air, an open floor plan on the first floor, a built-in entertainment center, and lots and lots of charm.

Location, location, location. Also, a beautiful brick paver driveway with a block M on it, which makes for the most stunning tailgate party decor and a guaranteed conversation piece on football game days.
