This place has mostly great features, and just a few not-so-great features. Our large family group (12 adults plus 2 babies) stayed for a week to visit the beautiful Canadian Rockies. The place is part of a condo complex and is 2 units joined by a door between them.
The great features were: *It is nicely maintained, clean and new looking, with comfortable beds, nice linens, and blackout shades in the bedrooms. *We had a toddler with us and it was great to have a pack-n-play for her to sleep in so that we didn’t have to haul our own on the flights to/from the US. *The location can’t be beat. Very easy walking distance to the town, which has lots of really terrific restaurants, and close access to the freeway to get to Banff, the Icefields Parkway, Lake Louise, etc. *The water pressure in the showers was fantastic! *The owners were VERY responsive and helpful leading up to, and during our stay. They were very eager to be sure we were comfortable and had a great time. *The recycle/trash collection area for the complex was right next door to our condo so it was great being able to just walk garbage/recyclables to the dumpsters when we needed to. There was no issue with odor.
The main challenging features were: *The upstairs bedrooms (2) in the larger of the 2 condos are not air-conditioned. It was in the high 80s when we were there and those spaces were like furnaces and miserable for our family members who tried to sleep there (they sometimes came downstairs and slept on sofas), despite floor fans in the rooms and open windows at night. *There is no in-unit laundry. The available laundry facility is for the entire complex with a few coin washers and dryers.
Other issues that deserve a mention though were not a huge problem for us: *The condo complex has limited parking and some of our cars had to find street parking one of the nights. *The pool and hot tub are in the courtyard of the complex, with no seating around the pool. *The main spaces of the 2 condos were not large. We congregated in the larger of the 2, with most of us sitting around the dining room table (picnic table style, with benches).
All that said, we had a wonderful stay. The good far outweighed the bad, though that air-conditioning problem upstairs was a real issue.
