House is within crystal village (group of 1-2 dozen houses sandwiched between the white river and the 410), located about mile marker 47-48 on the 410 and the Ranier white river/sunrise entrance is at 62. Drove that section of 410 each early morning for a week of day hikes in and around the park, coming back mid-afternoon to relax around the house. Enumclaw for groceries or a dinner out is only 20 miles away. The house has a nice back yard from where you can hear the white river more than the 410. Frequented by hummingbirds and ?mule deer. back deck is hot in the sun mid-afternoon, but there is a large front deck that is shaded by woods and north facing at that time. From the house you can walk along the white river for about a mile along an old road. The kitchen is very well stocked with a large eating area, living room, den. Beds are comfortable. On a very hot day, the upstairs was hot, but surprisingly cooled off quickly with the windows open and is a nice bright space. There is a high table there that works great as a standing desk. Entire movie library on vhs and dvd. Great stay. Only problem we found was the lower lock front door could not be opened from the outside (making it unusable), but Jeff, the owner, was responsive, and was working on getting that fixed..
