Hello! My name is Fotini, although most of my guests call me Tina. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Rhodes, where I live with my family. For more than 25 years, I have worked as a licensed tourist guide in English and German, sharing the history, culture, and hidden gems of my island with visitors from around the world.

Meeting people from different countries and helping them enjoy an unforgettable holiday is something I truly love. That passion naturally inspired our family to welcome guests to Gennadi Sea Traditional House.

Our traditional family home has belonged to our family since the beginning of the 20th century. We lovingly restored it, preserving its authentic character while adding all the modern comforts needed for a relaxing stay.

We personally welcome our guests whenever possible and are always happy to provide local recommendations, sightseeing tips, restaurant suggestions, or any assistance you may need during your stay. As we live nearby, we’re always available if you need us, while fully respecting your privacy.

Gennadi Sea Traditional House is located at the entrance of the charming village of Gennadi, in the south-eastern part of Rhodes. What makes this location so special is the perfect combination of authentic village life and the beautiful beach, which is only a ten-minute walk away.

Gennadi has preserved its traditional Greek character and offers a peaceful atmosphere, away from the crowds, while providing everything you need within walking distance. You’ll find traditional tavernas, cafés, restaurants, local shops, a bakery, pharmacy, ATM, medical centre, and the village square, where locals and visitors come together to enjoy the relaxed rhythm of everyday life.

Strolling through the narrow, stone-paved streets is one of the best ways to experience the village. You’ll discover charming traditional houses with flower-filled courtyards, visit the beautiful Church of Saint John with its impressive bell tower and traditional pebble mosaic courtyard, or follow the picturesque walking path through citrus and pomegranate groves to a natural spring and the peaceful Byzantine Church of Saint Anastasia, surrounded by majestic cypress trees.

For me, Gennadi is much more than a holiday destination—it’s part of my family’s history. My grandparents owned this house, and I spent many of my childhood summers here. Some of my happiest memories are playing in the garden and courtyard, exploring the quiet neighborhood, and swimming in the crystal-clear sea. Even today, whenever I have some free time, I return to Gennadi to enjoy its peaceful atmosphere and beautiful beach.

Gennadi is also an excellent base for exploring southern Rhodes. The famous village of Lindos is only 20 km away, while Prasonisi, one of Europe’s best-known windsurfing and kitesurfing destinations, is just 17 km away.

Gennadi Sea Traditional House is much more than a holiday home—it’s a piece of Rhodes’ history. Originally built at the beginning of the 20th century during the Italian occupation of the island (1912–1943), it is one of the few traditional Italian-built houses still preserved in the village. Constructed with locally made clay bricks produced at the Italian brick factory just outside Gennadi, the house reflects the distinctive architecture of that era. Our ancestors worked at the brick factory, and the house has remained in our family ever since.

In July 2026, we completed a careful renovation that preserved the home’s authentic character while adding modern comforts for a relaxing stay. High ceilings, traditional architectural details, and thoughtfully designed interiors create a unique atmosphere where history and contemporary comfort blend beautifully.

The property is surrounded by a private, well-maintained Mediterranean garden with citrus trees, fragrant roses, and aromatic herbs. The spacious 70 m² stone-paved courtyard is a peaceful retreat where you can relax in complete privacy, whether you prefer the shade of the trees or the sunshine on the provided loungers. It’s also the perfect place to enjoy breakfast, dine outdoors, or unwind with an evening aperitif after a day at the beach or exploring Rhodes.
