Definitely disappointed in this stay vs past vbro stays. Not realizing this property was owned by a company & not a private person’s residence I will now look for that in the future.
Previous stays with privately Owned residences is definitely the way to go! If booking one of these properties through a company you might as well book directly with the hotel. With that said we thought we were booking in a condo complexes but it’s actually a hotel with some owned units? Except if you booked privately & not through the hotel your not allowed to use all the amenities: the Starbucks & food areas were only allowed for those with orange wrist bands (booked with the hotel) we were allowed the Italian ice by the pool. I know that’s not the unit owners fault however it should be disclosed in the listing.
Within the unit it did looked as pictured however needs some upkeep/ new paint, new tub, new handle on sliding door. Some pillows didn’t have protective covers on them under he pillow cases and the mattress protector was not waterproof. The sheet for the pull out had a headband inside of it when we went to make that bed-it did appear clean and likely stuck when washed/dried but was still missed by the cleaning staff at some point. There was no information given about wristbands, white card for doors, parking, WiFi info or anything; we had to figure out everything ourselves. Every other vbro property I’ve stayed at has had a set of information & instructions for every little things on the property & this one gave zero info!
I know the unit owners aren’t responsible for anything outside the unit but there were a lot of things again that should have been disclosed on the listing prior to booking: a lot of the pools/hot tubs were closed (most only had a piece of paper taped to a chair in front of the stairs), my toddler also most walked into the one outdoor empty one since nothing was blocking it off. The security made everyone leave not only the outdoor pools during the thunderstorm but the indoor pools also! I have NEVER been told to get out of an indoor pool during any type of storm in my life! What is the point of having an indoor pool? The grounds it’s self needs upkeep; it seems like they are in the middle of some things (working on a new splash park & new bathroom by pools)1 elevator was broken the entire time in the parking garage which is across the street.
I don’t think this was worth the money & interested to see what the hotel price is!
