Thank you for your review. We are glad that you loved the Villa and its location and your kind words about our housekeeper. Also thank you for your suggestions. We mention both the points about water and the doors in points (ii) and (xiii) on page 3 of our booking form, but I understand that you had not seen this before your booking. We will now add them somewhere more obvious. The house was built in the 17th century and in our extensive restoration we have tried to keep a lot of the original features and so some of the doorways are low. These points on page 3 of the booking form explain: "(ii) Low doors: some of the doorways in the House are low (c.5ft). Please take care not to bang your head. If necessary let us know and we can put padded material or warning signs on these doors during your stay... (xiii) Water: Our water comes from a local well. It apparently originates from an underwater stream from the Pyrenees. It is then treated locally with chlorine. Even so we recommend you drink bottled water or boil the water before drinking". Drinking bottled water is quite normal in Spain and we provide some bottled water in the welcome basket to get you going. The pool only needs to be heated normally between November and March and not all Guests want to swim in these months, so we offer pool heating as an optional extra. This extra service is listed on the website and in the initial email replies we send Guest enquirers. We will look to see if this can be made clearer. We understand from the housekeeper that you were too hot in one of the bedrooms and it appears that when the thermostats were turned down it stopped the heating coming on. I believe the housekeeper came around immediately when you called her, and the issue was resolved. Boilers and heating systems work differently all over the world and in large villas like this one are complicated, so it is important to call the housekeeper. She is very happy to make any adjustments to the heating controls as needed. We will also make this clearer in the house guidelines and initial house tour.
