Snuggle up in the woods, 7 miles to Lake George,NY

Our home is located just 7 miles from Lake George Village and minutes from whitewater rafting on a quiet, wooded private acre. The backyard fire pit overlooks a peaceful pond with a picturesque backdrop of Adirondack hillsides making it the perfect getaway for family and friends. We rent all seasons.

5 bedrooms, outfitted with one king bed and four queen sized beds, await you and your guests. Two bedrooms are on the first floor and make for easy access for our older guests. Three additional bedrooms with queen beds are located on the second level.
The home is decorated with rustic accents and is fully stocked for cooking both inside and out. A gas grill is available, as well as a gas range, microwave and dishwasher. The washer & dryer are ideal for cleaning up after one of Adirondack Park's many hikes.

There are two full bathrooms in the house: a newly renovated one with a bathtub/shower combo and the second with a full standing shower. Both have ADA-compliant toilets.

The large living room opens up to the dining area, offering space for the whole party while watching the large flat-screen TV or enjoying each other's company in front of the gas fireplace. Wifi is provided for planning your day's excursions, checking the weather or browsing social media. Roku streaming boxes with Netflix access (bring your password) and various board games are also provided for the occasional rainy day.

The homeowners have added a whole-house generator to be sure that your visit is uninterrupted by the elements.

First-time visitors will be awed at the Adirondacks and all that the area has to offer. Lake George and the surrounding towns make for endless family-friendly fun, with excursions like go-carts, mini-golf, bowling, shopping, roller skating, waterparks, Six Flags, a drive-in theater, hiking or just snuggling up with loved ones in front of the fireplace. For parents & families with children attending the Double H Camp we are only an 1/8th of a mile away. Rest and relax at our home away from home!

This home hit all the high points for what my husband wanted for his 60th birthday: a quiet location but not so remote we felt isolated. It’s perfectly situated between Lake Luzerne and Lake George so lots to do during the day. It’s across from a stable and we got to go horseback riding. At night there’s a fantastic long dining room table with plenty of room for everyone to sit around or you can go outside and sit by the fire pit. Or, because the host is fabulous, you can go to one of the many places on a list she sends before you even get to the house! Checking in and out was easier than a hotel. Everything is sent to you prior to arrival and departure so you always know what’s happening. Inside the house there are clear instructions on how to use the various systems and appliances. Any question you can possibly have is answered already, clearly and concisely. All told I could not have asked for a better experience with a house and a host.

Absolutely love this place. It was our 2nd year staying and we will definitely be staying again. The house has everything you need and then some. If you forget something chances are it will be at the house. People leave things for others to use. I can’t say enough great things about this property and the owners are fantastic.

First let me start off by Saying that the owner Laura is top notch. We will be staying again in the future based off how communicative she was, just outstanding. My family had an amazing time at the cabin and the surrounding area. There was not a single time wasted! when it was 95 degrees outside we were at the lake, when it was a cool evening we were lighting a fire or at Lake George village. So many things to do and see. I cant say enough of what a wonderful time it was. thanks again Laura!

Cute, comfy cabin, fantastic spot!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is cute, very comfortable and clean. The spot is great, nice quiet area, gorgeous view. Very short drive to Lake George or Six Flags. Great host gave us all the information we needed about the property and the area. We loved it.

Great location for our Lake George weekend

The house was was clean and well stocked. We had plenty of room for our group. The location was very convenient for us to go into Lake George and to the Adirondack Balloon Festival. The host was very quick to respond to questions and gave us a ton of information both about the amenities at the house and the local area. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice Place - Great Location

We were a group of 6. Two couples and 2 individuals. Parking was no problem. The house was very, very nice. To say it was well equipped well... much more. I don't think there is a thing you won't find. The living room is very comfortable and the dining room table is a wonderful size. It is a very little drive to Lake George and Queensbury. Communication with the owner was fabulous. I have never had anyone get back to me so quickly. Remember that there is 2 bathrooms and both are downstairs on main floor. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 1 does not have air conditioning. We would return - definitely.

A weekend to remember

This is a beautiful, comfortable, and happy, rustic getaway location. We enjoyed most of what it had to offer. A relaxing fire out back, the cozy atmosphere brought on by the decor, as well as a kitchen with all of the tools to make a breakfast feast and 3 course dinners. It's far enough out to be peaceful yet close enough to the necessities, to not be a burden. We all loved our stay and have decided to use this home again next year.

Cozy but spacious

We (old HS friends) celebrated our 50th birthdays together over the weekend. We didn't even know we wanted to go to a rodeo until we saw it - easy walk and a lot of fun. Lovely view - everything in the house is set up for absentminded vacationers so you can just have fun. PLENTY of mugs and a Keurig - ice maker in fridge - every utensil and appliance you could need. GREAT stove. Lots of outlets and places to charge phones (bedside tables hold labs with built in USB ports, and extra wall chargers plugged in already). PLENTY of towels. Fire pit is more than basic - kept a nice fire going in a light rain. Comfortably cool to downright cold AC if you want it. Table lamps, floor lamps, string lights and track lighting set up so you can tweak the atmosphere to exactly what you like. Long table for big family meals. Outside two picnic tables plus a kiddie table. LOTS of lawn chairs in the outdoor storage box. Host answered multiple texts promptly with clear, friendly, generous answers. House rules were actually very easy - I just need a lot of reassurance lol My husband and kids and I unanimously agreed we are coming back next summer with our older kids. I sent the details to a rodeo lover in the family with 5 kids aged 3-16 because they would love it too.

Great little camp

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely camp. Lots of amenities and comfortable for all of us. We did not expect WINDOW air conditioners and the main one had to be taken outside on occasion and dumped to keep it running. We also discussed with each other that lots of cob webs were obvious on the ceiling and in the lights. Generally the camp was clean. There were no Outdoor amenities such as patio, porch or grassy areas. If you are looking for upscale this is not your luxury cabin. If you want good “camping” this is definitely a good choice

Excellent host!

Laura was extremely communicative and provided wonderful suggestions for activities and restaurants. The lake house was perfect for 8 adults and our 15 monthly old grandson. It was clean, the beds were very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wildlife wonderland in the woods!

The cabin was in the most perfect location for wildlife spotting, and such a quiet getaway! We spent so much time sitting by the lake, spotting turtles, deer and birds - just beautiful! We spent a day at the beach in Lake forest, a short walk away - swam in the lake, and soaked up the sun on the beach. Thank you for such a wonderful stay - a highlight on our stay in USA.

Great again

This was our family's 4th stay at this cabin. It was wonderful as always. This year there was new bedding and we could tell the difference. Slept great!!! The small lake you get access to is always a family favorite for swimming amd fishing. Look foward to staying again

This property was purchased with the belief that "family" would have a special place to gather, make memories and share laughter. The photos of the outside of our home leave you thinking that this home is small, but once inside it is spacious and inviting. We pride ourselves with a clean, warm well appointed home, making for memorable vacations. The back of this property overlooks a wide pond with mountain view’s which you will see as you sit around the fire pit. A peaceful and serene property close enough to Lake George and all their year round attractions.

The large living room/dining area make this home perfect for groups that love to enjoy a laughter filled meal, game night or holiday. The dining table can seat 10-12 guests. The dining table over looks the comfy couch and love seat, fireplace and flat screen TV! We have even added a high chair for the babies and toddlers in your life. The gas fired fireplace will keep you warm and cozy inside and there’s a fire pit overlooking the pond to enjoy nature. With Wi-Fi and cable this home has it all. We recently added a whole house generator to guarantee an uninterrupted vacation.
