We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Our cabins are self-catering cabins, so we provide a starting supply of TP and paper towel, but not seasonings. We appreciate your comments and hope you will stay with us in the future.

Thank you, Connie! Your title of "Rustic Comfort" is very appropriate. We do warn guests ahead of time that they should expect "a rustic experience with some amenities." We are located deep in the woods with the Hoosier National Forest at our back door...lots of critters here!

We are pleased you had a great time overall, Scott! So very sorry about your experience with the floors and table. We will speak to the cleaner about this. Most often, we get comments that our cabins are very clean, so this was a surprise and something we will address. Thank you!

Our care for this cabin has included recent upgrades in the amount of over $30,000 for new appliances, a new roof, re-staining the exterior, etc. What is not included in your review is the fact that you contacted us within MINUTES of your arrival to state complaints and ask for a refund. You even had a specific dollar amount you were requesting. Your tone with us was adversarial, and regrettably, responded to in the same manner…especially when you admitted you had tampered with the control panel of the hot tub. The next morning, we messaged you letting you know that we were very sorry that the hot tub was not working, we could not accomplish repair of it over the weekend, and we offered you a reasonable refund. You seemed satisfied, until the next week when you continually messaged us and Vrbo asking when your refund would be processed. In addition, you left a review that mentioned issues which we feel are unfounded. The “white mold” you mentioned in the hot tub was simply debris that could not be sifted by the hot tub filter because it was not operating correctly. THE HOT TUB IS NOW UP AND RUNNING. You mentioned several cleaning issues that, upon inspection, were simply false. No mouse droppings on the mantel/window sills, no stains on the quilts, no trash hanging from the trees. We will continue to provide our guests with a clean and comfortable stay, addressing any issues that may arise. We will also continue to expect that our guests, in turn, behave honestly.
