Welcome to Lagnes, a village perched on the Rocher du Pieï, in the heart of the Luberon.
It can be reached via the scenic route from Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France.
A charming vacation rental nestled in the garrigue, located between L’Isle-sur-Sorgue, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, and Gordes: the “golden triangle” of the Vaucluse’s most beautiful tourist sites! The Bastide des Esclargades is 700 meters from the picturesque hilltop village of Lagnes, with views of the Petit Luberon and the Alpilles in the background. Lagnes is part of the Luberon Natural Park, and you’ll be enchanted by the scents of thyme and wild mint from the surrounding garrigue.
Visits to the hilltop villages of the Luberon (Roussillon, Menerbes, Oppède, Lourmarin...) and the Alpilles (Les Baux, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence), Mont Ventoux (Séguret, Vaison-la-Romaine, Châteauneuf-du-Pape), as well as more urban settings such as Avignon and its festival in July, L’Isle-sur-Sorgue and its famous Provençal market, antique fairs, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse with its waterwheels and spring, and Aix-en-Provence (30 minutes away), not to mention the famous Calanques of Marseille, just a one-hour drive away (Cassis)... and hikes in the surrounding area, starting with the “Mur de la Peste” (Plague Wall): a famous hike beginning at the bastide; the cedar forest in the Luberon Nature Park; and cycling through Provence: numerous routes in the Luberon starting from Lagnes...
La Bastide des Esclargades will also introduce you to the flavors of the Luberon: the wine route, north to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Côtes du Luberon, and the Ventoux local wines... An abundance of fruits and vegetables from the Isle-sur-Sorgue region: the famous apple and cherry orchards of the Plaine des Sorgues... Catherine and Chris will be happy to guide you and offer advice on where to find hidden culinary gems off the beaten path... You’ll find the accommodations clean and in perfect condition. The decor is simple and functional.
The terrace is spacious and features a plancha grill; it’s not overlooked by neighbors, with a small garden and a view of the park, with the Luberon as a backdrop.

Nur geträumt?!

…was sollen wir sagen? Dass Catherine und Chris herzliche Gastgeber sind, openminded und sehr relaxt? Dass das Gites wunderschön gelegen ist und Entspannung garantiert? Dass man am Ende gar nicht merkt, wie schnell zwei Wochen vergehen können? All das - und noch viel mehr - könnten wir schreiben. Aber wir träumen jetzt lieber von den süßen Pfirsichen und Feigen, den unvergleichlichen Tomaten und den aromatischen Zwiebeln vom Markt in Velleron, dem kühlen Rosé aus Bonnieux, also flugs den Grill angeworfen und im nächsten Jahr wieder hingefahren, mit Hund, Kind und der Gitarre im Gepäck... Unbedingt.

Région exceptionnelle, propriétaires très accueillants

Je connaissais déjà la région que je ne me suis pas lassée de revoir. Lagnes est très bien situé pour visiter les sites exceptionnels. Le gîte les Alpilles était très bien. Le petit reproche est l aménagement extérieur du gîte que l'on ne trouvait pas assez entretenu. A part cela, tout était parfait. Les propriétaires étaient très chaleureux. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et recommandons ce gîte.

Beste Service, wunderbare Lage,

wir haben eine wunderschöne Tage bei Ihnen gehabt. Die Wohnung ist nett, das Grundstück ist schön, und die wertvolle Beratung von Catherine. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen.

Un gîte super bien placé pour visiter les beaux villages du luberon

Nous avons passé 3 jours super dans ce gîte et on a adoré. Il est très bien aménagé et tout est fait pour qu'on se sente comme à la maison. Les propriétaires sont des plus sympathiques. Encore merci pour la convivialité et les très bons conseils de visite. Le Lubéron est à découvrir et le gîte est très bien situé pour voir les villages perchés. Coup de cœur pour le village de Oppedes le vieux. Bref une très bonne adresse que nous conserverons pour de futures vacances...

Wunderschöne Ostertage

Wir verbrachten 3 wundervolle Tage in dieser Traumwohnung. Catherine und Christian sind wunderbare und sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Catherines und Paulines Tipps für Ausflüge in die Umgebung sind wirklich toll und wir waren jedesmal begeistert. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt, dass wir spontan beschlossen haben, im Spätsommer nochmal zu kommen. Und dann werden wir ausgiebig den Pool, den Bouleplatz und den großen schönen Garten ausnutzen und geniessen. Vom ersten Moment an fühlten wir uns mehr als Willkommen und hatten nie das Gefühl "nur Mieter" zu sein. Die Wohnungen sind sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir freuen uns sehr auf ein Wiedesehen und die Küsse von Nouschka. Liebe Grüße von Edi und Vera

vacances idéales

Alors énumérons tout d’abord les aspects négatifs… …………………………………… ??? ……………… !!! ……………….. Bon, passons donc aux aspects positifs…. La liste va être longue ! Les lieux d’abord… une bastide magnifique dans un parc très joliment agencé, située au calme, en restant proche de tout ce qui est à voir dans cette magnifique région qu’est le Lubéron. De là, vous aurez beaucoup de choses à découvrir, et surtout les villages, accrochés aux pitons rocheux, d’où l’on ne peut qu’admirer des panoramas magnifiques sublimés par les couleurs et le soleil. Bien sûr il y a des incontournables, mais tous les villages qui vous seront conseillés méritent le détour… Les gîtes de la Bastide sont on ne peut plus confortables, fonctionnels, calmes, parfaitement aménagés, et l’on s’y sent comme chez nous. Nous avons réellement apprécié « Les Alpilles », sa double terrasse où il fait si bon se reposer, sa tranquillité… La piscine apporte en plus un espace de fraîcheur, mais aussi de convivialité… ou de franche rigolade lors de parties de volley mémorables... Chez Catherine, Christian et Pauline ; vous ne vous sentez pas chez des hôtes, propriétaires des lieux… vous vous sentez chez des amis. Sympathiques, disponibles, prévenants tout en restant discrets, jamais avares de bons conseils, ils feront de vos vacances un moment inoubliable. Merci à eux pour tout cela. Vous hésitez encore à venir ? N’hésitez pas, il est impossible que vous soyez déçus.

Petit Luberon in Lagnes

Deze locatie ligt prachtig gelegen nabij het Nationaal park de Luberon. De eigenaren van deze locatie zijn zeer aardig en heel gastvrij. geven goede informatie over de omgeving en bevelen leuke restaurants aan om te gaan eten. Het huisje is schoon en ziet er netjes uit. Zou dit ook voor vrienden aanbevelen. Leuk restaurant Les Remparts in Venasque, heerlijk eten en een prachtig uitzicht, kano huren en varen op de Sorgues, Bezoeken van Aix en Provence.

Cor dank u voor uw waardering en Gre ... voor 4 jaar je komt, was het tijd om een wandeling te nemen samen in een kano op de Sorgue ... Een remake! Sterk in oktober weer te ontmoeten! Wonderful holiday location

Good quality accommodation set in lovely grounds with all the required amenities. The outside patio, bar-b-que and pool area are excellent for relaxing. It is perfectly located for exploring the Luberon and beyond and Catherine provides invaluable advice on where to visit, what markets to buy from and where to eat. On top of that the hospitality shown by her and her family made our holiday a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. We will be back.

Luberon has so many treasures near here, I am happy having shared them with you during these 15 days ... and when you 'll come back, there will still be much more than you can imagine! Thank you so much also for your lovely little girl and her Fairy little voice : it was a delight to hear her laughter Lucy gin in the scrubland. You understood that Provence is a lifestyle! Our days of kayak on the sorgue and Marseille's beach will remain fond memories (especially for Pauline) ... waiting for more adventures ! ? !!!

Lovely place to relax

Clean and cosy appartment. Catherine and her family were very helpful giving advices for trips and special places to see at the Provence. Quiet place surrounded by olive trees. Perfect for families and couples who like to relax. During the day at the big pool or at night at the terrace listening to the cigales and enjoying a glas of wine. Perfectly situated for trips to Avignon, Bonnieux, Orange, Aix-en-Provence etc. Lots of possibilities for sportive activities: canoying, biking, hiking. The owners share with you a boule-spot, table tennis plate and bikes. We recommend the location, just to know: You're sharing the washing machine with the owner and other guests (two more appartments around).

Pendant ces 3 semaines, j'ai eu la chance de m'occuper de Merle, ce petit bout qui a fété ses 1 an chez nous : quelle joie ! merci pour les photos... je vous attends, revenez vite !!!!!!! Un havre de paix

Nous avons loué 'le petit loberont' pour une semaine. La région, le gîte, les activités de la région etc sont superbes. Mais ce qui nous a touché le plus, c'est l'accueil chaleureux que la famille Barbier nous avaient réservé! La gentillesse de la famille, leurs bons conseils, leur bonne humeur, ont fait que nos vacances étaient une réussite de A à Z. on espère d'y retourner très bientôt!

Een warm onthaal in Lagnes

Waren hier 4 weken in juli 2013 en hebben echt een geweldige vakantie gehad, gingen met heimwee terug naar huis, Catherine en Chris zijn zulke warme en gast vrije mensen, daar kunnen nog veel Fransen een voorbeeld aan nemen. Hebben deze plek aanbevolen aan vrienden, locatie ligt midden in de natuur, maar alles is zeer goed bereikbaar, zoals Goult, Gordes , Bonnieux. Ook goede aanbevelingen gehad voor restaurants, waren allemaal top. See you next year.

Un trés agréable séjour

Le site est magnifique, la maison accueillante avec une belle piscine. Les propriétaires vous reçoivent avec le sourire et vous mettent tout de suite à l'aise. Il sont disponibles pour vous être agréable. Donc n'hésitez pas à passer les voir

La vie est belle en Provence, c'est une joie de partager la bastide pour les vacances ! Le commentaire est délicieux : vous vous êtes sentis chez vous, à l'aise...J'en suis ravie... Il n' y a rien d'autre à faire que savourer les instants de paresse au bord de la piscine, se régénérer sans rien avoir à penser, juste le temps des vacances...se laisser aller au bien être... séjour hors du temps dans cette garrigue sauvage.

accueil chaleureux et très confortable dans un site magnifique qui vous dépayse totalement.c'est aussi le départ de randos dans la garrigue parfumée ...et de nombreux villages à découvrir dans les environs que Catherine nous propose
