Thanks so much for the Raving Review! We have to agree that St. James Villas in Kingston Plantation is hard to beat for a vacation spot at the beach. The lake views are tranquil and the beach and pool are just steps away. We would love to have you back to visit again any time.

We agree that Kingston is the Perfect Vacation Spot along the Grand Strand. This villa is amazing with the 2 King Suites and third bedroom for the kiddos. It is also so close to the pool and beach! Come back to visit with us again soon!

Thank you for the feedback, Erika. I know that we have already discussed all of these items, but I do want to let future guests know that we tried to make things better for your stay. When you 1st arrived and brought the palmetto bugs to our attention, we offered for you to get a full refund if you wanted to leave and find another vacation rental. You chose to stay with more than generous compensation from us for any inconveniences. We did offer to send the cleaners back to reclean, but this was denied as well. Unfortunately, cleaners are human and miss things from time to time especially if they are not in plain sight. We did address the issues with them as they are hired out as a 3rd party vendor. The owner's family was just visiting this condo the week prior and had no issues with the cleaning nor the musty smell. Palmetto Bugs are very common in this area, unfortunately. We contacted the HOA who manages the Pest Control for this complex immediately after your call. They were able to get the company out to spray the unit, but unfortunately, you did not let them in to conduct their spraying. As we discussed, this is a problem because guests do not allow entry for the monthly sprayings which leads to larger issues. We are working with the HOA to try and figure out a solution for all parties involved so that the condo can get on a regular monthly routine to deter these Palmetto Bugs. Again, we apologize for any inconveniences, and we hope that you and your family were able to enjoy your vacation at the beach.

We do apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. We did have someone out to you the same day you called with any issues at hand. When we said it was the weekend that was just to make you aware that we had to wait on the availability of our vendors as we do not control their schedules. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over HVAC or plumbing issues as to when they might arise. We tried to do everything in our power to get it taken care of without interfering with your vacation.
