This home needs some serious work. From minor repairs to dangerous and unsafe conditions. The view is gorgeous, but that’s the only positive. You do see a lot of wildlife but that also comes with large tarantulas, snakes, scorpions, and coati. All of which were inside the home, so just something to be aware of. One room is uninhabitable, the smell is so horrific, we couldn’t open the door. Thankfully we only needed 3 rooms. The stove in the kitchen isn’t attached to the counter, the counter top was broken in both the kitchen and master bedroom. Many of the lights were burnt out. Trees were overgrown and the pool was dirty and always full of debris. The whole home was filthy. No facecloths, and the towels they did have were stained, sheets were stained, drapes were dirty and torn. White bathmat in the main bathroom was stained brown and not changed for days, nor were the dishcloths. There was a bath mat thrown outside and stuck in a tree, likely from a previous guest. Hot water was mostly non existent and the drains were all backed up, toilets wouldn’t flush. We couldn’t stay and ended up having to find alternate accommodations. After much back and forth, and extremely unprofessional responses, we finally had a manager show up with a bottle of wine and offered a free meal cooked in the house (we wouldn’t eat anything out of that kitchen), or a free yacht tour that both turned out to be “unavailable” for the duration of our stay. The manager was very understanding, and seemed genuinely horrified with the deplorable conditions but was unable to offer more than a 30% discount, despite us leaving the home halfway through our stay. This is not our first time in Huatulco, so we are well aware of what to expect and we have never had an issue prior to this. This home should not be rented until the issues are dealt with and the home is properly cleaned. Very disappointing stay. Very disappointing res
