The flat "La Minotte" is ideally located on the Old Port of Marseille near the new museums of Marseille (MUCEM, Villa Méditerranée, Regard de Provence), the Cathedral of La Major and the Panier district. The location is ideal for visiting Marseille and the Calanques and is very easy to reach from the Airport and the train station.
Near the flat you will find all kind of amenities: restaurants, bars, bus, metro, boats, city centre with all kind of shops.
Very bright and carefully decorated, the flat is composed of a large and beautiful bedroom with a small sitting area, an independent kitchen opening onto a terrace with a view on the Old Port, Notre Dame de La Garde and other monuments such as the Théâtre de la Criée and Fort St Nicolas.

La Minotte We had a great few days in this fourth-floor walk-up a street away from the Vieux Port of Marseille and a short walk away from Le Panier neighbourhood (supermarkets were a bit further away though). The place has great views over the port and up to the Notre-Dame church. The veranda was perfect for an early evening drink. The place is compact and had all the basics for a wonderful long weekend in Marseille!

🙂 Très bon emplacement dans le quartier du Panier. Vue sur Notre Dame de la Garde et la sortie du vieux port.
🙁 L'appartement est bien nettoyé mais peu entretenu (dans un immeuble lui-même pas entretenu). Les peintures sont à refaire (défraichies / sales/ tachées), le parquet est rayé et taché, les fenêtres sont en très mauvais état (ferment mal/ non jointives/ simple vitrage côté couchage => appartement bruyant). La fenêtre entre la salle de bains et l'arrière cuisine n'existe plus (reste un cadre tout rouillé). L'électricité est d'origine (env. 1950) avec des ajouts des années 80. Équipement de cuisine minimal (verres = 3, petites cuillers= 3, mugs = 3 et une Tasse, ...)"

🙂 Loved the view (unexpectedly good), the outdoor terrace with table and chairs, the pigeon doves mates that would come to visit us, the bed, the pillows, the kitchen was well stocked. There was lots of hot hot water. Washing machine worked well and laundry soap was provided. A small supply of coffee was on hand at the start.
🙁 Did not like the hand held shower and the toilet is old. The floors were very dirty (we stopped wearing bare feet as they would turn black!). It was hot when we visited which meant keeping the windows open at night which meant it was very noisy. There is no 'soft' place to sit inside except the bed."

La Minotte "Wir waren mit der Unterkunft recht zufrieden und der Ausblick auf den Hafen ist sehr toll.
Nur sind die Bilder etwas alt, was man an der Abnutzung der Unterkunft erkennen kann.
Leider wurde fast jeden Tag vor die Haustür gepisst, das war echt unschön. Vielleicht kann man da ja was unternehmen…"

La Minotte The flat is in a great location with a beautiful view of the Old Port which is almost at the foot of the building. The flat itself is comfy and perfect for 2 people, with all the amenities we needed. Arnaud was helpful and always responded quickly to any queries.

🙂 The property was comfortable for our three night stay. The apartment is on the top floor which felt safe from the streets of Marseille (although no lift, so lots of stairs). We liked having a small kitchen and washing machine to use during our stay. The view over the Marseille port was also nice. Overall i would recommend if you’re looking for a more homely feel during your stay rather than a hotel or hostel.
🙁 (1) The shower was terrible. No hook/holder for the shower head so you had to hold it the whole time.
(2) An issue with the front window & shutters meant the apartment wasn’t secure. This is being resolved, but made us slightly uneasy given security issues in Marseille.
(3) Too much communication from the property management company. They emailed a lot before arrival.
(4) Only had one set of keys. This made it hard if one of us stepped out while the other was at home."

🙂 Emplacement assez central, jolie vue, ventilateur au dessus du lit très agréable. Je tenais à remercier l’agence pour la remise des clés en avance.
🙁 La télévision ne fonctionnait pas, et bien que je l’ai signalé, rien n’a été fait, j’ai du trouver la solution seul. Pas assez de café à disposition, ni d’huile."

La Minotte We stayed for a week. The check in was easy, our agent Mr Salles was prompt and helpful. The space was clean and tidy, with beautiful views. The shutters in the bedroom were broken but these were broken by the previous guests and with no space in between the bookings they had no time to fix this, so this is not their fault. Was a little road noise but my partner and I are heavy sleepers so this was so able. We did have issues with the fan turning on by itself, we called the agency and they were very informative in how to deal with it but this issue did keep occurring the last two days. However, the overall stay was wonderful, would definitely recommend, lovely space in a wonderful location with a helpful host

La Minotte "The apartment doesn't match the pictures so well, it is very old and not so clean and well maintained (dirty walls, dirty pillows, hair, rust in the shower).
The location on the other hand is perfect, very central, right next to the old port and Panier and the view from the balcony is amazing!"
