Beautiful views and awesome home

What a perfect getaway for our extended family of 20. The large bunk rooms were so nice, the large kitchen and two fridge/freezer units were very helpful, and the large living/gathering spaces were heavenly. And the views of Bear Lake! We couldn’t stop looking out the windows!! Would gladly stay here again!

Perfect family reunion house

We loved the beautiful views! A spacious and clean house, with ample rooms, bathrooms! and utensils etc. for our large group. (11 adults and 12 children.) Convenient access to beach. We loved our stay and hope to return in 2027.

Extended family gathering

There was plenty of room for 5 families to enjoy our two night stay. The outside play area was a hit with the small kids. The access to the ideal beach resort was a plus, beach and swimming pool. Kitchen facilities and bedrooms were great. The location was convenient to access Garden City “downtown “. We enjoyed Minnatonka Cave. Good raspberry shakes at the Chevron gas station. Better than waiting an hour for a shake in town.

Great Family Reunion Spot

This home is beautiful and well taken care of. There was plenty of space for us to spread out and have fun with 25 of us. The view of Bear Lake was beautiful. The owner was quick to respond with all questions, and the house had everything we needed to cook meals for our big group. There are only small A/C units, not central air. This was mostly fine since it stays cool at night, but just want a head up if that is important to anyone. We really enjoyed our stay a ton.

Great communication, lovely place

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hillside Hideaway. Communication with our host was key - easy check in and plenty of room for all of us. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay!

We loved our time at the cabin. It was perfect for our big family. Very spacious! Lots of parking! Also, having access to ideal beach resort was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable stay

Everything was as it should have been, kitchen was awesome. All our family enjoyed their stay and would highly recommend this property. The view of Bear Lake was tremendous, and we took full advantage of the Ideal Beach access. We totally enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

SUMMER VACATION

It worked well for us plenty of sleeping quarters and the kids had a great time. plenty of parking space, we had a flatbed trailer and several cars it was great. Plenty of space for meals and games for all of us to be together.

Perfect!

This house was perfect for us. I appreciated the air conditioning in that it was hot week in Bear Lake. It has a ton of extras and is just super spacious and clean. I also appreciate the Ideal Beach Resort Pass.

Wonderful weekend with family over the 4th of July 2024

We loved staying here. The view was amazing and it was very quiet, except for our family inside : ) It was bigger than I thought and the extra family room worked out so well. We had about 7 cars, there was plenty of space for parking. The deck was so fun with the views. We would stay there again.

Family reunion

The property was perfect for our family. The kids enjoyed the fort and we all loved the view. We were able to enjoy the lake and come back to relaxation and family time.

Wonderful place to stay

This is a truly a special place and you can see the care and attention to detail that have gone into making it feel like home. We thought it actually looked better than the photos and was larger than we realized also. There was plenty of space for our group of 21 to spread out. It was well stocked. Great communication with owner and no problems with check-in or during our stay. It's a beautiful, more private location and the views are just spectacular (the deck!). We would definitely stay here again thank you!

Family Reunion

Beautiful cabin. The photos on the website do not do it justice...we were pleasantly surprised. Very spacious, able to enjoy our large family without feeling cramped in or crowded. Will definitely plan on a repeat next year!

We had a great time

Just a couple things that would have made it perfect. There is a bed in the basement that is broken. Coffee pots are terrible. It was a little hot for sleeping with no AC in the basement. the view was beautiful, the house was a good in size for the group we had. plenty of room for us to gather to eat and lots for the kids to do at the house with the outside play area and TV inside. Thanks Sam we would go again

Perfect Location for Large Group/Family Reunion

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Hillside Hideaway. The views of Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains are breathtaking. Beds were plentiful and comfortable. There are plenty of places for gathering groups or taking minute alone. The bathrooms were designed to allow for maximum privacy and to keep lines from forming. We cannot say enough good things about the kitchen; it is far and away the best stocked of any rental I've stayed in. The kitchen also has lots of work space and storage and lends itself well to prepping, cooking, serving, and clean-up. Kids (and adults) loved the foosball table and the outdoor play area. The rental has a couple of TVs that can be used for gaming as well; they are placed well so that there is plenty of room for everyone, but these don't have to be the main attraction. Truly a wonderful space. To top it off, Sam was the perfect host - responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. I really can't say enough good things this about this VRBO experience.

We absolutely picked the best location with a fantastic property that our whole family can enjoy.
