Great apartment near the city center

Great spot, walking distance to many places including the Puerto del Sol and the metro station. Good communication with the host. We can't wait to return to Madrid!

5 nights in the center of Madrid

The apartment was well equipped , clean and comfortable as promised. Juan is a friendly host and easy to deal with. Great location overall, could be a bit noisy at night.

Excellent stay!

We spent five wonderful days in Madrid and were lucky to stay at Juan's apartment! Everything was exceptional: from the communication, through the location (ideal), to the apartment where we had literally everything we needed. The accommodation is even better than in the pictures, the kitchen is well equipped, and the WiFi is excellent! There's a small market right next to the building. Highly recommended!

Compact apartment in an ideal location

I value most the responsiveness of the host and Juan was always available to answer questions & resolve any issues immediately. The apartment has good heating, a large refrigerator, and had enough room for me to prepare my meals, do my exercises and get my work done. It is less than a 15 minute walk to the Prado and only about 5 minutes to Plaza del Sol, from where you can get the metro to everywhere else. A gem at a reasonable price.

ON TOP OF A NIGHTCLUB!!!!!!!Noise at night, until 4:30 am is unbearable. Even with noise cancelling earplugs the thrum of the beat and music comes up through the floor and walls. Impossible to sleep Other reviews failed to mention this. Otherwise, it is clean, very conveniently located safe and pleasant. There are double thick windows and shutters but they can’t do enough

Très bel appartement moderne, confortable et très bien équipé. Premier étage avec ascenseur. Hôte charmant qui nous a reçu très chaleureusement. Logement tres bien situé à 400m de la Puerta del Sol, en plein centre de Madrid. Tous commerces et métro à proximité. Seul bémol, boite de nuit en bas de l'immeuble avec quelques décibels le soir, mais le logement est très bien isolé et la gène minime.

Parfait!

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine à l’appartement d’Alfonso.Lui et sa conjointe ont été très accueillants.L’appartement était parfait pour nous ( 2 personnes).Nous n’avons manqué de rien.L’emplacement était excellent au cœur de Madrid.Les soirées et les nuits du centre sont très animées et bruyantes,mais les fenêtres sont assez bien isolées pour réduire considérablement le bruit extérieur.Le lit et les oreillers était vraiment très confortables.Nous recommandons cet emplacement.

Très beau séjour.

L'appartement est très bien situé, nous n'avons pas eu à utiliser les transports collectifs pour visiter le vieux Madrid. Le propriétaire est très chaleureux et disponible. Un peu bruyant la nuit, mais ça allait. Près de tout restaurant épicerie etc.

Excelente estancia!

Muy contenta de haber escogido este alojamiento. La limpieza era excelente y a fondo. Tenía todo lo que puedes necesitar, todo funciona y la ubicación es inmejorable. El departamento cuenta con doble acristalamiento pero es una calle muy concurrida y llena de locales, el fin de semana se llena y puede haber algo de ruido pero es la mejor ubicación para conocer y caminar por Madrid. Y la verdad es que hemos dormido perfectamente. Volveremos, sin duda! Gracias por todo.

Great space, noise unbearable

The apartment was cuter than its pictures online, Juan Alphonso was a great host. The thing I couldn't tell beforehand was that it was over a nightclub. I arrived on a Saturday and the noise in the street went on until morning. There were people in the narrow street reveling all night. The next two nights were much better but still noisy. As we were leaving, men came to install new more sound proof windows. Hope they are effective.

Great place but very noisy as expected being on a popular street

Location was perfect very close to popular areas and restaurants. The apartment was clean and comfortable. The only downside to this place is that it’s above a popular nightclub so if you plan on sleeping I’d HIGHLY recommend ear plugs The owner of the apartment was very nice and friendly. Overall a great time.

Lovely apartment! Great location!

I liked the apartment! Very clean. Nicely decorated. Great location, few min walk to everything interesting! The reason for giving 4 starts (and not 5): 1) it is 1st floor (one above ground) on narrow street with pub just on opposite side. Noisy. During October warm weekend nights till ~3:30am, on Monday night only till ~1am. Didn't disturb me or my family. We were so tired browsing Madrid streets & museums, so we just fall asleep. But light sleepers might consider bringing ear plugs. 2) Juan is really nice person. After meeting him (for keys) we easily could understand each other, using google translator. But initially there was a moment, when we arrived to the mentioned address (taxi, suitcases), I'm calling the provided cell# staying on the street, and answering person doesn't speak English. That was easily solved (and compensated by cup of great hot chocolate, many thanks!) after he stepped out toward us, but I had a moment thinking "where to go with family & suitcases in Madrid in that afternoon hour". If you speak basic Spanish - shouldn't be a problem at all. Suggestion to Juan: please give a little better explanation to renters where/how to find you! 3) Another suggestion to Juan: a) please check the front building door key. Sometimes it took me time to open. Probably should be replaced. b) please sharp the kitchen knives. I couldn't cut lemon & tomato. Overall - we had great time in Madrid and liked the apartment. Location is unbeatable! With just couple easy touches Juan might make it from "very good" to "perfect". I'll stay here again.

L'appartement est très confortable et très bien situé en plein centre de Madrid ce qui permet une découverte de la ville sans utiliser de moyens de transport. Juan, le propriétaire est très accueillant et sympathique. Nous sommes très contents de notre séjour avec un petit bémol cependant: quartier très animé la nuit, donc boules quiès indispensables!

Muy recomendable

Hemos estado dos noches cuatro personas. El apartamento es tal como aparece en las fotos, pequeñito pero muy bien aprovechado, muy confortable y con todo lo que puedas necesitar. Las camas tanto la de la habitación como la del sofá—cama, muy cómodas. La situación es excelente, para visitar el centro de Madrid o ir de museos. Si hubiera q señalar alguna pega, diría q el ruido de la calle de madrugada al acercarse el fin de semana, pero es algo inevitable si quieres estar en el centro. Mención aparte se merece Alfonso y su mujer. Muy atentos con nosotros desde incluso antes de llegar. Por cierto, el chocolate con churros del "Chocolat Madrid" exquisitos. Gracias Alfonso.

Nice apartment in a central location.

Aside from the street noise at night, the apartment is perfect. The location is right in the center of the city with easy access to so many places by walking or a quick metro ride. The apartment is well equipped. The owner was super easy to work with and flexible.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo.

L'appartamento è proprio a due passi da tutti i musei principali della città, cosa che rende quasi superfluo l'uso dei mezzi pubblici. I proprietari sono gentilissimi e ci hanno fornito la massima disponibilità.

En pleno centro de Madrid

Pasamos 4 dias en el apartemento. El apartamento es pequeño pero muy comodo, somos una pareja con un niño e ideal para los 3, habia de todo, muy bien preparado. Juan encantador, siempre dispuesto. La pega: el ruido, hay varios bares debajo del apartamento y las noches del viernes y el sabado el ruido y las voces fue constantes. Si no fuera por el ruido un 10.

Una sorprsorpresa muy agradable

Desde el anfitrión hasta el ultimo detalle del apartamento todo espectacular. Nos recibio alfonso, muy atento y simpático nos ayudó mucho porque no conocíamos la zona y nos recomendó los mejores sitios donde visitar, para comer y salir por la noche. Me llamó muchísimo la atención la cuidadosa limpieza del apartamento, el orden , la decoración hasta nos dejó detalles culinarios para que se nos haga más afable la estancia. Vamos! Hoy en día no se ven apartamentos de este calibre y trato del dueño tan exquisito. Todo de fenomenal muy recomendable

Excelente atencion

Gracias por la atencion, exelente. Cuando necesitabamos solucionar algo, de manera inmedianta nos daban la solucion. Lo unico que tal vez no fue tan bueno, fue la bulla del dia sabado, pero no dependia de ustedes, sino de los locales nocturno que quedan en la misma calle, de resto todo perfecto. Muchas gracias

Entrance to the apartment from 14pm. Departure at 11am.

From the airport, there is a direct bus to Cibeles 24 hours, by subway stops from Sol or Sevilla, three minutes, in renfe to Sol or Atocha station, direct taxi from the airport € 30.

Zone restricted to traffic, but there are three public car parks. You do not need the car, you can see everything walking.
