This beautiful new home is the first situated on the shore of Payne Lake just outside of Mountain View, Alberta and within 10 minutes from the entrance to Waterton National Park. Perfect for a couple wanting to get away or a large family gathering for a week or two. Close to other attractions like Cardston, Fort Macleod historical fort and Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump, and Castle Mountain ski resort. Summer water activities are ideal outside your back door and this lake also is a popular site for ice fishing in the winter. Wooded areas are within walking distance as well. Sleeps 8. Please inquire regarding additional visitors and relevant fees.
This property is available in 2 separate suites - the main floor with 3 bedrooms (THIS listing) has a full kitchen and a spacious living room along with two full baths and patio access from the master bedroom. The lower suite (other listing) has 4 bedrooms and 1/2 bath. Book separately or RESERVE BOTH FLOORS for larger groups with a total 20% discount from the entire house price (which you'll be refunded when you reserve and complete both bookings). Beautiful place!

We loved this place! The location is great and the views are amazing. We enjoyed paddleboarding on the lake in the evenings after hiking in Waterton during the day. We would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend it.

Simply Wonderful Stay

We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The king sized bed was very comfortable, the kitchen is spacious and perfect for cooking your own meals, and the location is very peaceful. The owners are responsive and easy to communicate with. We are very happy to choose to spend three nights here. If you are after a clean, tranquil stay in a very well-equipped house then this is a perfect choice.

Easter weekend

We enjoyed our stay here. The views were fantastic from the windows that faced towards the mountains and Waterton National Park. Our host was great to communicate with when a small problem arose. We would definitely recommend staying here.

It is a very new modern house on a lake with clear beautiful views of the mountains, close to Waterton National Park. Lots of dishes and pots. Minor issues (low battery fire alarm) were solved. Fantastic for people wanting nice accommodation near the park.

Majestic Place

We stayed for 3 nights with my friends for the long weekend. This house is so big, clean, very modern style and amazing view! Very good size for family. Mountain View is a 10-15min drive to the national park. When we had a problem with checking in, Wayne was very responsive and helped us resolved the issue. We used Apple Maps to locate the house because Google Maps takes us in different direction. Thank you Wayne and Jasmine for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We will definitely stay here again!

A wonderful stay!

We are 3 French couples of friends visiting Alberta. We spent 3 nights in this awesome house, it was ideal. The area is very quite and relaxing. The view on the lake and the mountains from the house is just amazing. We even swam in the lake. The hosts are really nice and helpful. We did beautiful trails in Waterton Lakes Park, a cruise on the lake, and a very interesting visit of Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump Interpretive Center. Thanks to the hosts for their hospitality!

Waterton Holiday

The property is in great location to Waterton National Park. Big and roomy with beautiful view of mountains You do need to bring drinking water as cistern water is not very enjoyable to drink. Big beautiful deck. Would be nice if the outside had a little more grassy area for young kids to play on as we had had 2 grandkids under 3. But there was lots of room inside for the kids which was nice. Great location for trips into park with a beautiful 15 min drive to Waterton village.

Great location and home

This was a beautiful home in a very beautiful setting. We loved everything about our stay here - the lovely home, comfortable beds, huge deck and amazing view of sunsets from the deck. The home was well appointed and very spacious. Air conditioning was very welcomed and we loved that we could get into the lake right from the yard. We enjoyed the sound of loons and the pelicans and owls that visited. Waterton was lovely and this home was the perfect place to stay while visiting the park.

Picturesque new home with stunning views

We had a wonderful time at the Waterton house. It is bright, airy and nicely decorated. Everyone loved it. My brother and nephew were thrilled to see that they could fish right from the property, and there is a sandy bottom area at the lake for brave swimmers. The listing doesn’t say there is a BBQ but there is one. The kitchen is well stocked. The building is large and designed well. There were only four of us but 6-8 would be comfortable. It is remote and can be very windy, but on the plus side, we sat one night just watching a thunder and lightning storm roll across the lake right in front of us. Front row seats to a powerful nature show.

Beautiful new home with amazing view of Payne Lake & mountains

We rented both floors of this home for us & 2 of our children's families (11 people in total from ages 4-71). The multiple bedrooms were a delight as were the linens, well stocked kitchen, etc. Owner was very responsive to our request for a missing kitchen item. Landscaping the area around the house would greatly improve the mud situation for kids' shoes, etc. Boot scrapers would be a good addition for now. As some of the wkd was cool & soggy, a fire pit would be wonderful. Great location in close proximity to Waterton. We would rent again.

Hidden gem on Payne Lake!!!!

This property is AMAZING!!! Do yourself a favor - quit looking for other VRBOs and just book this one before it is gone!!!! We stayed for 7 nights in the upper floor! I would give this property a rating of 10 if I could!!! The house is absolutely gorgeous, clean, comfortable, all new furniture and comfortable couches and super spacious! You will enjoy awesome sunrises, sunsets, rainbows, and the night sky with amazing stars! The views are fantastic! It is close drive to Waterton park. The owner is very responsive and informative. He answered messages immediately The kitchen is fantastic! It is big and open! Everyone can hang out in the kitchen around the huge island if they want! It is stocked with way more than enough dishes glasses silverware pots pans, crockpot etc The cutting knives were sharp! The refrigerator/freezer is huge! They left plenty of toilet paper to last us the entire week as well as plenty of dish and laundry soap and trash bags. I have stayed at VRBO s before that only give you one roll of toilet paper, one trash bag and soap to do2 or 3 loads. And you end up having to go out and buy more. So this was so kind of the owners to be so plentiful! There is a barbecue grill on the deck. It is hooked to a house gas line so you don’t have to worry about a propane tank running out halfway through cooking! The bedrooms are are very spacious. The beds are great! Everyone slept soundly. The 2 full bathrooms are wonderful and they had plenty of big fluffy clean towels - more than enough. They had “lake” towels too to use. The back yard is wonderful! It is natural with native grasses and wildflowers! We enjoyed looking at the various wildflowers! They had games and TVs- but we were so busy hiking in Waterton and then watching amazing sunset on the back deck we never had time to watch tv! One person in their comments had said that the internet connection was slow- so we were a little concerned about that. But that is not true. The internet connection was fast- none of us had any problems using our phones or laptops. There were people staying in the lower level. You cannot even tell that they were there. We could not hear them- so the house must be super insulated for noise between the two levels I cannot say enough good about this amazing house! It is just soooo beautiful and soooo relaxing to stay at! We did not want to leave! And we definitely will rent this Vrbo first off next time we are in the area!

Wonderful view

We had a great stay. The place was comfortable, very clean and very spacious. The kitchen was a dream. And you can’t beat the view. The only downside is that the wifi is slow. Not a big deal for me though. Highly recommended!
