The Petit Chateau suite at Wine Country Cottages will make you feel like royalty. While the phrase literally translates to “little castle”, the word chateau most commonly refers to large country houses and estates that are involved in the wine production process.

The space

The French region of Bordeaux is the largest wine growing area in France and home to the most chateaus. There, you’ll find the production of everything from table wines to some of the most desirable and expensive wines in the world. Wineries in Bordeaux prefix their names with the word château, such as the infamous Château Margaux.

Named after these beautiful French chateaus, our Petite Chateau suite is the perfect place to stay in Texas Hill Country. A delightful alternative to hotel accommodations, here you’ll experience the high-class architecture and sophistication of a French castle, as well as the elegant and countrified features of a French wine estate. Short Getaway

We loved the location of this property. We were able to walk to dinner both nights. Everything was just as described in the description. Would definitely recommend this property to others and book again!

Newlyweds on adventure

My husband and I have been married one month now and the new hasn’t worn off yet;)We have been skirting off to one event or another that has allowed us to be able to get little samples of classic local destinations especially those that have been re-envisioned without losing its charm such this little winery cottage retreat. We enjoyed the hot tub and the quaint landscape, and had a much needed restful nights sleep. Thank you

Nice place.

Overall our experience was good. At first we thought the A/C wasn’t working well until we realized that the fireplace was on, we did not turn it on and could not find the knob to turn it off. We texted and no reply, luckily we were able to find it soon after. The mosquitoes were terrible so the jacuzzi time was limited(the jacuzzi is also on the front porch so everyone can see you when they are walking to their car or rooms). Parking was tight. We have an Expedition Max. The place was quiet and perfect for our wedding anniversary getaway besides the things listed above.
