Great Lakehouse

The property is first class in every way. It is by far the nicest property that my family has stayed in over the last 50 years of vacationing in Northern Wisconsin.

Perfect for a large family gathering

Lost Loon is the perfect retreat for a family gathering. We had three generations gather for a week together and we had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy together. We enjoyed the outdoor spaces as much indoors. The home is well appointed and very comfortable. It is equipped with everything you need to relax and entertain.

The house was amazing. We had 4 generations ages 3-82. 13 people - 8 adults and 5 kids. Best vacation. Home is gorgeous, spacious, great floor plan, high end appliances, 3 refrigerators, dishes and glassware for large groups. The view is beautiful. The quiet lake and remote location are so peaceful. The fenced yard was great for the kids. Kids caught so many fish off the dock - they were obsessed with fishing. They played in the yard for hours, no toys, just make believe play. It was wonderful to have our grandchildren experience it. Everyone wants to make it an annual tradition. Ann and Mike are wonderful hosts. Provided detailed information on everything included, what to bring, recommendations and detailed driving directions. They responded quickly to questions. We rented a pontoon for Wilson Bay lodge which is close by. Jim the owner is a wonderful man. We had everything we needed and more. Highly recommend.

Beautiful home and lake

This is a beautiful home on a gorgeous lake. The home is extremely clean...all new. Very much as advertised. Mike and his crew were very easy to work with and we had a great week.

Great stay

Loved our time at this cabin on Lost Land Lake! Beautiful roomy home with nice size sunroom where we enjoyed our coffee and played cards at the table. Kids loved fishing off the dock every day. Had s’mores around fire pit with plenty of firewood provided. Rented a pontoon very close by which was so handy. It was a very fun week enjoyed by all!

The lake house is amazing. We had 7 adults ages 29-60 and had more than enough room. We enjoyed catching small fish off the dock, fishing in our pontoon, using the kayaks every morning and just floating on the water. We played lost of yard games and spent time around the fire. The kitchen is well stocked with all the appliance you will need. It is about a 35 minute drive to Walmart, so it was great to have 3 full size refrigerators so we could bring lot of food with us. We brought our 23 foot tritoon and put it in at the boat landing on our way to the house. I don't think it would have made it down Wilson Bay road. The dock was great to fish and swim off of. We played golf at a nearby course twice and explored Hayward 1 day, but otherwise we found enough to do at the house. We played games at the huge kitchen table, did a jigsaw puzzle on the big table in the sunroom and played many games of pool. The readers in the group appreciated the awning on deck to block out the hot afternoon sun. I can't say enough about how spectacular this house was to stay at and how much we enjoyed our week here! Mike and Ann were great hosts and were very patient when we were having email problems. The list of help hints was indeed very helpful and let us know what to bring. They also checked in with us during our stay and emailed us after our return home.

Fabulous house on beautiful quiet lake

We returned to this fabulous home for the second year in a row for a family get-together. The home is stunning and the lake absolutely beautiful. The house is beautifully maintained and the hosts are great- very helpful and welcoming. We spent a lot of time on the lake (fishing, kayaking, etc), saw lots of wildlife, had big family dinners, and relaxed together. We hope to return to this magical place next year!

Family Gathering

We had a large group and thoroughly enjoyed the home and the lake. The house was roomy and made it easy to play games. The lake was perfect. Several fish were caught off dock, including Pike, Bass, Crappie and Blue Gills. Thank you for sharing your home!

My family and I loved our stay at Lost Loon Lodge! Beautiful space, great views of the lake, the kitchen was well stocked (plenty of dishes for leftovers and insulated cups for the pontoon - both greatly appreciated) and communication with Ann was easy.We rented a pontoon from Jim at Wilson Bay Lodge, he's old school, no cards accepted. Easy to work with and literally just down the shore which was so convenient. Be sure to tell him you're staying at Mike's place not Lost Loon Lodge and he'll know where you're talking about right away. :) It was in good condition and we used it almost every day to tour the lake and also for a trip through the channel to Teal Lake.There was a ton of wildlife activity; eagles, loons, a family of otters, Merlin's, ducks and geese. Fishing was good, a few small fish off the dock plus one nice Northern. My BIL's, niece and sister enjoyed musky fishing too. Evenings found us on the water to catch the sunset with the loons calling. Sunsets were amazing from the dock, be sure to walk down.Two things posed minor issues for us. Navigating from the house to the water, a bit longer, steeper than we expected. A photo of the house from the dock would allow you to assess that. Not an issue for most guests, but for my 83 & 92 yo parents did. And the upstairs bed heights (waist high on 5'2" mom) posed an unexpected challenge for them too. Beautiful location, we all enjoyed our stay. Thanks Ann & Mike for opening your home to us! A true treasure!

Perfect place to bring a large family

The hosts of this beautiful property were available immediately if we had any questions. They even texted us to see if everything was going alright! The house looks just like it does on VRBO website. We went boating and kayaking and fished off the pier because of the 4 grandkids. Fishing was better last week in the early morning. Made a lot of family memories. Loved it!

Idyllic Family Vacation

Our family of 14 (8 adults and 6 children 10 and under) had a wonderful time! Your beautiful home was the perfect space for us - Like you designed it for our kids and grandkids! We rented a pontoon and spent hours each day cruising Lost Land Lake and Teal Lake. I highly, strongly recommend your lovely home to any family looking to enjoy a week together. The firepit was wonderful and produced delicious smores! The dock area was perfect too. We enjoyed the canoe! One of our highlights was my birthday dinner at Tally Ho - it was a dining experience unlike anything I've ever had - really amazing! The four-season porch was home to many games. I'll tell you, having three refrigerators with our group was perfect - we filled the two inside and used the one in the garage for some overflow. Ann Jacobson was a delightful host - very responsive and gracious. We will absolutely book a stay with you again, Ann!

Beautiful Northwoods Home

This was the most accurate description (in photos and words) of a home I’ve ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, and we couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and high-quality everything in the home was. The decor, furniture, kitchen-ware, carpets and linens…all of it was top of the line. Communication and check-in was a breeze. One thing that isn’t always common in lake houses, is that the walkway down to the pier was easy to navigate. My parents were with us and are in their late 60s, they made the trip up and down several times a day. The steps are wide and gently sloping, and the pier was sturdy. We were so grateful for that! The lake is peaceful, we enjoyed fishing and boating and watching all the wildlife - the eagles that make their home there were majestic to see every day! We had an absolutely wonderful stay, the only bad part was when we had to pack up and leave.

A slice of Heaven

Everything from location,cabin,lake, and owners was FIRST CLASS! We had up to 10 people here at one time from ages 2-80 and we had plenty of room and everyone had a great time. You could easily have 14 people here with room to spare. Its very secluded and private but still close enough to great supper clubs, bars, and shopping. The fishing was great. Lots of pan fish, bass and musky. We landed 2 musky over 40" and had the monster on but could not land. Mike and Ann are very accommodating and thier place is beautiful and spotless! We been doing these trips with our family for 30 years and this goes down as one of the top places we've stayed. Definitely will be back! The price may scare some away as it did me at first but it was worth every penny. Also there is a place to rent pontoons 3 places down from their cabin on the same road and lake. The pontoons are nice and very cheap to rent. Literally half price from anyone else. Very convenient! The only bad thing i can say, we had to leave.

Winter Wonderland ❄️

Had an amazing time with family and friends during the holidays in this cabin. Kids and adults enjoyed spending time outdoors on the frozen lake and playing in the snow. Cabin was spotless and more beautiful than the pictures. Decorated beautifully with lots of attention to details. Very spacious for our group of 10. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and more to prepare endless meals. Beds were very comfortable. Communication with owners was easy and quick responses from start to finish. Heavy snow fell one day and the driveway was plowed in a timely manner. I would definitely rent this property again.

Great Stay Lost Land Lake!

Very very impressive! We have stayed in a lot of VRBO properties and this was top of the line! The property is a bit out of the way, but once you are there, it is fantastic. This is one of the few quiet lakes in the state, and while we did not choose the the property for this reason, we really appreciated it after the fact. Also very nice to be able to boat to dinner at Lost Land Lake Lodge. I’d highly recommend.

Amazing

Our stay was nothing short of fantastic. The property is absolutely pristine and exceeded all of our expectations. This property has wonderful finishes, no clutter, fantastic kitchen and baths, a very private location and is on gorgeous lake. The owners and managers were very responsive We would absolutely come back.

Fabulous!

Wow! What a beautiful and wonderful place to spend time with our family. The home was gorgeous and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for us to really spread out and enjoy different activities. The little guys, age 3 and 6, loved fishing off the dock! They caught as many as they threw the hook over. Some were small, some were average, but they didn't care! We loved the outside fire pit and enjoyed lots of s'mores! Thank you for offering such a beautiful home and grounds for our enjoyment! Our trip was FABULOUS!
