Amen Corner - Close to Boone! Hot Tub, Pet Friendly, Ping Pong, Foosball, Mountain Views
Located in the heart of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains, this three bedroom, two bath log home is the perfect location for a romantic getaway or family vacation.
Kick back and enjoy the cool tranquility of the Blue Ridge Mountains while relaxing by the gas log fireplace in the cozy living area. This comfortable room features soaring ceilings and inviting seating to watch your favorite show or simply reflect on the events of the day.
The fully equipped kitchen, with granite counter tops and stainless appliances, is a great place to prepare your favorite meal which you can enjoy in the adjacent dining area, featuring a beautiful oak table that seats up to 10. Or if you prefer, take your meal outside and enjoy the table of 4 on the engaging deck surrounded by nature.
There are two main floor guest rooms. One room is equipped with a queen size bed while the other room has two queen size beds. The large full bath is located in between the two bedrooms on this level.
Outside, the peace of the surrounding woods and distant views of mountain peaks can be enjoyed from any of the comfortable chairs on the large covered porch. For some, the views are best enjoyed from the soothing waters of the bubbling Hot Tub looking out over the canopied forest.
Back inside, the upstairs loft serves as a media room and family gathering spot, offering a flat screen smart TV with available surround sound for your viewing entertainment.
The upstairs master suite has a beautiful king size bed and full private bath, reading nook, and a TV/DVD player.
For the perfect viewing of that sporting event, favorite TV show, or movie, the lower level features a large flat screen smart TV, DVD player with surround sound. Or perhaps enjoy a spirited game of foosball, or ping pong located in the garage.
In addition to being close to all the high country attractions, Amen Corner is part of a community that features a Par 3 Public Golf Course and a wealth of great exploring and picnicking areas. Your memories of Amen Corner will last forever. You won't want to leave.
We are not the original owners of Amen Corner, but we feel the name fits! Once we arrived at this corner of the world, walked onto the porch and saw the view, all we could say was “Amen”! This place felt like home. Inside you'll also find a print from the Augusta National golf club's infamous "Amen Corner" turn on the course. We've poured love into this place, and we hope you enjoy our mountain getaway as much as we do!
Additional notes:
- Guests are asked to NOT use the bottom driveway to the right of the cabin, as it is very steep.
- Please only park right in front of the house, and please don't block the road for the neighbors. Thank you!
- This property is pet friendly. Well behaved dogs are welcome to join you with a pet rent of $25 per night, per pet. Please clean up any “presents” your pet deposits in the neighborhood. Max of two dogs.
- CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
