Anne and Jean-Pierre welcome you to an authentic, characterful 19th-century traditional house, adorned with a charming, carefully restored "Mâconnais-style gallery," nestled peacefully on the edge of a lane, just steps from the vineyards and a 13th-century Romanesque church, in a picturesque little wine-growing village typical of the upper Mâconnais region, brimming with charm and steeped in history, known for its rare Merovingian necropolis (402 inventoried 6th and 7th-century graves). Peace and tranquility abound in the gently rolling vineyard countryside (in an area classified as a ZNIEFF for its rich fauna and flora), nestled in a bucolic valley of fields and hedged meadows beneath the wooded ridges of a vast, wild forest (protected as a Natura 2000 site for its rich ecosystems). A magnificent landscape surrounds the property. The cottage is very comfortable and spacious. A beautiful, bright living room opens onto the garden and surrounding countryside through a large bay window. A warm, rustic charm blends tradition and modernity, enhanced by meticulous restoration (original fireplace mantel, stone walls, and wooden lintels). A peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Full of charm. A delightful, enclosed 400m² garden, carefully landscaped with lawn, plants, trees, and flowers, nestled on the edge of meadows, offers a large, sunny gravel terrace shaded by a lovely cherry tree (complemented by a second terrace overlooking the courtyard). Composition: Semi-detached village house. Wi-Fi (fiber optic). Electric heating + wood-burning stove. Access to the gîte, located on the first floor, is via an external staircase. A charming, authentic, traditional 19th-century residence, carefully renovated into a comfortable holiday home, nestled peacefully in the heart of a picturesque little Burgundian village, at the foot of a vast, wild forest and a stone's throw from the vineyards, 5 km from Saint-Gengoux-le-National, a delightful medieval wine-growing and commercial town, designated a "Town of Character of Burgundy-Franche-Comté" ("Cluniac Site" / numerous amenities including a supermarket). The surrounding countryside is a peaceful, gently rolling landscape (classified as a ZNIEFF), combining viticulture, nature, and agriculture, nestled at the crossroads of the Mâconnais and Côtes Chalonnaises vineyards, in the verdant Grosne Valley (protected as a Natura 2000 site for its rich ecosystems), a magnificent, preserved haven of hedged meadows, rivers, vineyards, and forests, not far from the wooded foothills of the South Burgundy massif.
