Located on the stretch of Destin known as Crystal Beach, this four-bedroom, three-bathroom home is open and inviting for every guest. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry, and spacious outdoor areas. The community this home lies in has a gorgeous resort-style pool, making it the perfect place to spend a day off the sand. With a location south of Highway 98, the beach is walking distance away, and a shuttle runs seasonally for beach access as well. Nearby restaurants include Camille’s at Crystal Beach, serving Gulf to table seafood, and Funky Blues Shack, an option for dinner and live music nightly. Even more, dining options can be found at Destin Commons less than a mile away, along with dozens of boutiques and shopping outlets.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

I booked this home for a family vacation. The house is beautiful and in a great location. Close to amenities, shopping and the beach. The beach is a short walk but they also offer a free shuttle service. Plenty of fun things to do for kids. My family had a great time. 10 out of 10

We recently stayed at this beautiful home in Destin and couldn’t have been happier. The house was absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly clean, and beautifully decorated — even better than the pictures! It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish stay. We’d definitely come back!

Bad service

It’s was a very bad experience. Never had we had a bad house, service like this one!! Never again with them. We get there the code doesn’t work, got 3 codes total. Walking in was not very welcome. The sofa and couch were dirty.The girls had to sleep on the floor the whole time because the sofa bed was broken and the sheet it had was dirty and had crumbs on it, it was disgusting. The cooking pans were bad not usable, ready for the trash. One trash bag for 13 people and 4 days. The upstairs tv never worked, had trouble with the downstairs tv. We asked for pans, a light bulb, and someone to check the tv, never got anyone, only that the so called team was working on it, we left and nothing was done!!! After we checked out I get a text if they could deliver the pans, is that so ridiculous or WHAT!!!! I’m very disappoint in their service, NEVER again with them. I wonder if the owner will get this input!! We came from so far for this!! It was a very bad experience. Also the way they painted the inside of the house is a joke!! It wasn’t a home away from home!! I’m very unhappy with them. We had the girls that had to sleep on the floor!!!

We really enjoyed our time at the Kona house. It was clean and nicely decorated. There was plenty of room for our family. We were close to the beach and food store and lots of other store too. The pools is fantastic. We really needed more equipment in the kitchen. A crackpot is a must. Serving utensils and silverware were really limited. Trash bags would have been nice and basics like salt and pepper, mustard,ketchup, foil, paper towles. These little things make a big difference to a tired traveler. Overall awesome! Thank you.

Pros & Cons

House was a great size for our family vacation with 12 people - 6 adults and 6 kids. Beach is about a 10 minute nice walk away, not bad at all! Pool is really awesome. However, house seemed to need a little bit of tlc and basic upkeep for guests. There weren't any fitted sheets to cover either of the pull-out couches and only one fitted sheet. We had to use towels. There were no extra bed pillows (though there were a plethora of decor pillows in closets) and no extra blankets. There were zero blow dryers - a very common amenity anywhere else you go in 2021 - and we missed them. The hose outside we could use to rinse off had a large hole in it so it didn't work properly. Last, the carpet up the stairs in the in the bedroom is stained and dirty, pretty disgusting. I would not recommend bringing small children to the home for that reason.

Pros and Not so Pros

The rental is in a great location, close to shopping, easy walking distance to Crystal Beach and 2 miles from Walmart. Also nearby is the amazing Om Relaxation Spa, an easy 8 mile walk - definitely check them out! Cleanliness: The house was clean, except the vent was dirty and unsightly. We thought it was rust but a quick paper towel test showed it was dirt, that should be cleaned given the cleaning fees. This unit has lots of wear and tear - stains on sofa, carpet and scruffs on the wall. You can tell it is rented out a lot but a deep clean on the carpet would be nice. Downstairs bathroom shower curtain has mildew and not all the ceiling fans were clean. Amenities: It’s a quick walk to the very nice community pool. If there are overcast skies they won’t open if there is lightening within 10 miles. So you won’t know when the pool is open unless you keep walking to it. Download the Weather Bug app and keep an eye out for the lightening yourself. There was a DVD player but no “DVD library” to be found. There is a shuttle to the beach but there is no information ANYWHERE on the schedule; I had to flag the driver down and got his business card (which I left behind with the pool wristbands.) Host: you should add this to the wall of suggestions in the kitchen. There were plenty of bath towels and pillows (lots of extra pillows in the closets) but only two kitchen towels so we had to buy more as we were using the kitchen daily. Bring your own trash bags for the kitchen as there are none. But there are plenty of utensils, pots, pans, etc. You will want to get paper cups as there aren’t enough drinking glasses for everyone. We quickly went thru the ice in the freezer on day 1 and it took the freezer a while to produce more, I contacted Mgmt about it and no one ever responded. We bought ice and eventually the ice maker started producing ice. Space: there is plenty of sleeping space for 12 but if your family likes to watch TV together or hang out together you can’t do that without people sitting on the living room floor or sitting at the kitchen counter. The upstairs balcony is nice and roomy but there are 2 doors to get to it and the one from the hallway does not open to the outside for some reason, it only opens from the balcony - so if you are in the master bedroom you are disturbed by people going out onto the balcony as the door in that room is the only one that opens up to the balcony.

Treasured Memories

This house was perfect for our family to gather and stay for attending a local wedding on the beach. This was a 2 minute drive to the wedding party’s house which worked out perfect for all our needs to be apart of some of the greatest memories for our family. The neighborhood was secure with code access needed for entrances which made us feel safe in an unknown area! Thank you for these accommodations! We would highly recommend this house!

House, community, and beach distance great- Management is the downfall

The house was plenty big, very cute quaint area, excellent pool, and an easy and safe walk to the beach. However, the care for the guest left something to be desired. They were short staffed so needs were taken care of slowly. Also, lack of house being stocked for the guest is nothing. You literally need to bring everything, all the way to a baking sheet and hooks for towels. I wish that This site would have mentioned to bring plenty of everything. I think that would’ve helped mentally because we had to go to the store several times to buy stuff from trash bags and toilet paper.
