Nestled along the South Fork of the scenic Shenandoah River, this cabin is a dream getaway for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Host was responsive to our questions. The location was beautiful. The fish were not biting, but it didnt stop me from trying. The decor is very tasteful and the large kitchen table was perfect to play games at. The beds and couch were comfortable. We had 4 in our family and we all enjoyed being at the river for Christmas. You have to give the duck pin bowling alley a visit. It's a blast to the past that was totally enjoyable. Shenandoah National Park is a must see. I wish we had more time.Great stay would definately stay again.

Beautiful property! Such a cute place on a very beautiful location. Bathroom had some issues with the toilet flushing and shower pressure was lacking. Other than that, an excellent stay.

Lovely Cabin

The cabin was lovely and cozy. The landlord was there with information and very friendly. It’s close to attractions we would definitely go back.

River life

It couldn’t have been better. The fishing was good the cottage was adorable and what a fun time we had! The property manager was awesome. Any question we had he was right on it and answered it quickly.

Absolutely beautiful!

The house was beautiful, clean, in a great location, and the owner was very kind and helpful! We loved that there was firewood easily available. Definitely plan to stay again in the future!

The house was clean and Ian was very responsive when inquiries were made. The fishing was slow due to very low water levels. It was a perfect spot for my 14 year old to learn to fly fish. Another new hobby thanks to this vacation. Ian had firewood and chairs to use by river and the fire pit.

Relaxing getaway in great location.

My husband, dog, and I enjoyed the access to nature. We hiked in the national park every morning and explored the towns nearby in the afternoons. Don’t miss Luray Caverns! We will definitely return!

Relaxing Week

Overall this place was perfect for myself, my husband and our 2 dogs. The location sits perfectly infront of the river where you can watch wildlife while having a morning coffee. Its secluded while also having neighbors, very quite neighborhood with nice friendly people. The house over all was beautiful and SUPER clean when arriving. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful Vacation

Every year my sister and I and our husbands of course always rent a cabin for a fews days just to set and relax.. we have been doing this for many years now and this . Property was amazing!! It is one of the best that we have been too over the years Beautiful home equip with everything that you would need and then some , Ian have totally out did himself He provides some much more then a cabin..We enjoyed watching the wildlife and hearing the trains, and doing a little fishing. We definitely enjoyed our time and will DEFINITELY be renting again. Thank you so very much...

Great Place!

We completely enjoyed our stay, the cabin, the river, the neighborhood. Gratitude to the owner for very helpful, quick, and invaluable communcations. Especially when we ran into trouble on the river and he reached out to the Shenandoah Vol Fire Dept to help us retrieve our boat!! Great community all the way around!!

Peaceful Getaway

Great spot to disconnect and sit with nature. This home was the perfect size for our family. Everything you need is here. Getting away from the hustle and bustle and sitting by the river was just what we needed. We brought tubes and floated down the river twice from the public boat landing about a mile up the road and did some fishing. Will definitely be back to stay at Rock n Reel!

I've lived in the town of Shenandoah my whole life, I currently volunteer for the local fire company and I'm a Health & Safety Officer for the joining jurisdiction. I have been on the local swift water team for many years and I have a very good understanding of the river. I'm willing to do anything I can to make your river adventure the safest and the best it can be. I also stay at str so I’ve taken the little things that I like about a place and offered it here for my guests. I'm ready to go the extra mile to make your stay at Rock N Reel one you never will forget.

The pictures doesn't do our property justice. Don't settle for just river access with strangers, Come here and enjoy your private River Lot. This property is very well maintained. We go the extra mile cleaning in between guests. We offer several little things you will need and we pay attention to detail. Some examples are, Firewood, Fire Starter, propane for the grill, etc.
