June at LFG

we had an excellent stay at Lake Forest Glen. The unit was clean, comfortable and modernized. Located in a quiet area of the complex our stay was most relaxing and comfortable.

Good Location & Communication

This property is older & a bit quirky. There are no small plates or teaspoons in the kitchen & the coffee pot takes an hour to make 8 cups of coffee. The location was good for our stay & access to Everline for wedding events. The communication with our host was very good.

The location definitely made this unit

The location definitely made this unit. The bakery nearby was delicious and a great price and we got to watch bears roam around on occasion. Kitchen was decently stocked and the bbq worked great. The only qualms I have found were that the bunks ladder was especially unstable making the whole bed unstable but we just ended up not sleeping in it. The bikes were also unusable but that didn't bother us either. The internet did cut out multiple times but usually around 2-3 AM so we weren't that bothered. Overall I would 100% stay here again.

The location is perfect!

The location is perfect! This is a perfect well kept budget place for your average stay, specially if you plan to be out most of the time, but it's also comfortable and cozy when you come home from hikes or slopes to rest and hang out. The fireplace is a very nice add on! Very close to town, ski resorts and there's a beach access within walking distance. My only complaint was the lack of wine glasses and I would suggest the hosts to leave a windshield scraper available for guests. Other than that, everything was perfect and I would definitely rent again!

The property was as described as far as bedrooms, kitchen, layout. If you don't mind your feet turning black from the filth of the floors, then this is the place for you. The carpets were gross! Ideneed of a good cleaning. The ki

Thanks for the note. I’m glad you liked the home, I’m sorry to hear about the floors. That’s not acceptable. We use one of the best vacation rental cleaners in Tahoe. I will share this review with them. They mop the floors every cleaning and we shampoo the carpets regularly. Nevertheless, I appreciate the feedback.

Good location, but condo needs a little TLC

Excited at impression of place when we arrived, but as time went on, noticed little things that needed touching up - like screws coming loose, and sweeping in corners and under things that didn't looked a while since done.

Great Summer Family trip

It was great to have the pool and a close beach in Tahoe City to enjoy. There was just enough room for 4 adults and 3 children. It was cozy....I thought it was going to be bigger (the pictures make it look bigger). It was nice to eat breakfast and dinners together. We were at the beach for lunch time. Easy check-in. The beach is not walking distance (not with kids) and was secluded. You can drive to Tahoe City main beach and that was great for kids. We did see a bear at the beach (stay away from bears!) Overall it was a memorable family trip. Thank you

Property has a lot of broken items and is very grungy. The property management company claims they strive for a 5-star stay but they have a lot of work to do if they want that. Lights were out, dishes dirty, bunkbed was very rickety, internet did not work very well and TV constantly went out due to the poor internet connection. BBQ and patio had not been cleaned. Properry management company was very delayed in communications and had to continuously prompt for more informative communications. Would not stay here again for the price.

Looks good in the photos

This property delivered with regard to the photos and layout of the house. No surprises and it's furnished nicely for up to six people. The house is a short walk to the lake and would be an amazing place for a summer getaway. Even for families all staying in the area. But, and it's a big BUT - the house was dirty when we arrived. Dirty dishes put away in cupboards, dirty spoons in drawers, dirty kitchen countertops, nightstands had not been wiped down, bathroom rugs not washed. The carpets were dirty. During COVID there is supposed to be heightened attention to this. In addition to the cleanliness issue, the kitchen wasn't ready for a week-long booking; 1/2 roll of paper towel, two coffee filters, no foil or plastic wrap, no real wine glasses. Three times during the stay I reached out to the owner, twice with photos. No response. We've been renting on VRBO for over 12 years and this is a first. I will also share that once I booked the property all communication took place offline through the "owners" property vacation management platform. No response there either. Sadly, we would not return.

Just wanted to be honest

I really wanted this resolved before I wrote this review. We chose this property because it stated there was Air conditioning in the unit. This was not the case. There is no air condition as stated. My husband and I with 4 of our 5 kids needed to get out of our Covid funk. We were super excited to stay in a home away from home. It states sleeps 10 but I it would be a tight fit. The room that has the bunk beds and a queen was tiny. The Twin bed moved so much that my 12 year old did not feel safe enough to sleep on it. I can't imagine having adults sleep in this room. There were several fixtures in all the rooms that were either laying on the floor and or did not work. The floor vents in the kitchen were NOT secure and I stepped in several times during our stay. The fans in the room had not been cleaned for some time. Be prepared to only have 1 towel per guest and we were left only 3 beach towels. The website also states there were two parking spots. Really there is 1 and a half. But on all documentation it states that if you park over the line you will be fined. **** I went to VRBO because this property is listed twice. One states sleeps 8 the other sleeps 10. Several other amenities are differently listed as well. ******

Hi Coreen; Thanks for your review, my cell is 9497691599, I would love to chat to get some additional details and so we can make things right. We are always available to help guests during their stay, I'm not sure why you didn't reach out. First, regarding AC, as explained by my realtor when I purchased this home a number of years ago, most homes in Tahoe don't have AC, the average low temperature in Tahoe City in August is 45 degrees avg. high 78 and September is 40 degrees avg. high 71, the two hottest months of the year. I've spent a lot of time there in August and September and I don't recall ever feeling the need for AC, with that said we often open the windows at night. I agree, the 3rd bedroom is more suited for kids, we did add some support to the bunk bed, thanks for brining that to our attention. I also agree, this home is best for 8 people, it's not well suited for 10, however that is the max and that's only if a number of them are smaller children, max adults is 6-7. As far as fixtures "in all of the rooms that were on the floor or not working". First, I'm surprised by this, a simple phone call and we would have sent our handyman to address any issues. The home is thoroughly cleaned and inspected between every guest and I don't recall ever getting any calls about fixtures on the floor, I believe we may have fixed one ceiling fan since your stay. Please call me for clarification on this. The home has plenty of towels, I can let you know where they are stored next time you stay, I wish you would have reached out to me to address your concerns during your stay. My wife has a mini-van and I have a sedan, we park 2 cars without an issue. We even had 2 RV's last time, of course, we parked both in the RV lot. Great townhome near lake and Tahoe City

Really enjoyed our stay at this home. Townhome was very clean, open kitchen well stocked, comfortable big beds upstairs, and very close to beautiful Lake Tahoe. Appreciated being able to bring our dog along for the trip. Thanks to the hosts! Would stay again and recommend to others.
