Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean, pleasant and comfortable and conveniently located close to the beach (a short walk). It was very private and the paths around the yard were nice, but not the lengthy walks suggested by the property description. It would be helpful for potential renters with older family members to know that there are multiple stairs in the house, including a fairly steep staircase to the 2 lower level bedrooms. We did not have any mishaps but were very cautious going up and down that stairway.

We enjoyed our time here and the home was really nice. The kitchen was great and very conducive to cooking. We enjoyed watching the owl that moves around the yard, and the quiet at night. Our dogs had a couple of great runs in the yard, so the pet friendly part worked out well. The beach was nice as well and convenient as it was really close by. The owners next door helped us with some tv remotes that weren't working, and we appreciated the 1 page sheet of local activities and things to do.

Great location just minutes from the beach. The house was clean when we arrived with everything as described. The acre in the back is peaceful and great place for dogs to run. Highly recommend!

We found the home to be clean, bright, and spacious. The views of the backyard meadow and neighboring farmland were lovely. Complete with a peek a boo view of the ocean from the balcony which was beautiful for sunset dinners. We thoroughly enjoyed watching our dogs roam the acreage from the hot tub. We even joked that it was just as much of a vacation for the dogs as it was for us.The proximity to the local beach and amenities of Aptos were ideal. The host provided ample suggestions for all the hotspots nearby including some favorites from a locals perspective. Which was appreciated.We definitely enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again.

We enjoyed our stay at the La Selva Beach house. The house is very clean and well maintained. There is a nice fenced in area for the dog. The house is a good location for sightseeing both north to the Santa Cruz area and south to Monterey and Carmel. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t cooperative for our trip. It rained two of the three days we were there and our dog picked a tick so we didn’t take advantage of the walking paths around the property. If we ever get back to the area we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect house for a beach, dog & teen vacation

Proximity to the beach is amazing. 2 acres of fully fenced “doggy Disneyland” can’t be beat. House is comfortable.

Amazing property and great location. Only complaint is the check in process. You have to pick up and drop off keys at the property management office which is about 10 minutes away. This is a first, as I’ve always had either a keypad or a lockbox. Not terrible, but inconvenient nonetheless. Other than that, everything was great. Don’t forget to bring extra towels for the hot tub and the beach!

Perfect get away

The property is beautiful and so close to the beach. The kids enjoyed flying kites at the beach and making s’mores at the fire pit on the property. House is nice, kitchen is well equipped and plenty of room for the dog to run around. We will be back.

Family Wedding Retreat

Local wedding attendees needed a quiet place to retreat. This house was very nice, quiet and very lovely. Well stocked with utensils and friendly owners next door. We will definitely be back to this beautiful place so close to the beach and wildlife observation. A must stsy for bird watching.

Your own oversized dog park near the beach.

We initially chose the property for the dogs, but keep coming back for the “everything”. It doesn’t just allow dogs, it gifts your dogs with their own private HUGE dog park. Peaceful surroundings. Listen for the owls in the eucalyptus trees at night. Hot tub has always been functional, clean and hot.

A perfect retreat

I stayed here with friends for a weekend, and we all loved the property. It was easy to find and get to, yet felt very private and secluded in a peaceful, relaxing way. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor entertaining area, including the hot tub, were ideal. We loved being so close to the ocean - just an easy walk away. Everyone in property management was very responsive leading up to and during the trip. I would love to return here with friends and with my family.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful home for an adult family get together with pets. All rooms had very comfortable beds with king or queen size. Bathrooms for the bedrooms both had showers. The 2 downstairs bedrooms have access to the outdoor meadow which was perfect for us. The home is also a quick walk to the beach. The welcome letter and binder included all the information needed. Kitchen was supplied with what we needed to cook meals. The home was beautiful and very comfortable; we had a wonderful time walking along the beach and relaxing together. I'd definitely recommend.

Great house on pretty acreage with good views. Out of the hustle and bustle of Santa Cruz and a block or so from the beach. We loved using the hot tub after the beach and perusing the pretty backyard. We didn't bring our pups but they would've been safe and really would've enjoyed it. Bob, the owner, lives next door and was very helpful when needed but otherwise unobtrusive. We will find our way back here!

Dog Disneyland

Amazing location near the beach with vast stunning views. Huge backyard that has no foxtails and park setting with a long path and soft grass. We planed to spend most of the time on the beach, but our dog had such a fantastic time running around in the backyard, that we ended up sitting outside and watching her play. She was exploring, jumping, running, and having an amazing time. Patio is overlooking the acreage, so we saw her all the time. Hot tub is amazing.Owners live next door and are very friendly and helpful. Check in process is unusual: we had to pick up and drop off the keys from a different location instead of a lockbox with code at the house, like all other places that we stayed at.
