New to the rental world, this real log cabin sits just 25 feet from the beautiful Cartecay River in Ellijay. Fish, tube, kayak, or just relax to the mesmerizing sound of the mighty river. The cabin has all of the conveniences of home. Firepit next to the river is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after dinner. Ping pong and pool table are in the basement, along with a popcorn machine. Across the river is a wildlife management area - nothing but nature!

This is our 2nd time staying here. It is so close to everything. The neighborhood feels safe. The cabin is very clean and super cozy. Our favorite was sitting on the porch swing listening to the river. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat, this place is for you.

I really don’t want the word to get out that this is not just one of the best cabin rentals in the Ellijay, but maybe even the state! Scott deserves it, though, because everything here was done top notch, no shortcuts and his place is exceptionally well taken care of and comfortable. This cabin also has direct rapid access (small cascades so no problem for the kiddos) and sounds incredible. New hot tub with a new playform, great game selection for rainy days and an entire basement worth of activities including a portable bowling setup. We loved it and I hope we can come back soon.

Cozy cabin

This cabin was so cozy and clean. All the details in the design of the cabin make it even better! The kids enjoyed playing in the river. Close to everything you need.

Peacefull river getaway

Everything I was looking for in a get away for the family. Peaceful but close to Downtown Ellijay. The river was beautiful to watch go by. Large deck to sit and relax. We saw deer every evening but the last night. I'd book it again.

Beautiful cabin on the river

We had a peaceful and fun stay at the cabin. The combination of the snow, sound of the creek, and the crackling of the fireplace while relaxing in the cabin was amazing. The whole family had a great time with the board games, ping pong, pool table, and tv to watch the game while laughing and playing together. Highly recommend.

Great cabin in the woods

Overall process for checking in and out were quick and easy. Cabin was right on the water with rapids directly behind the property to enjoy. Was nice to do some fishing and hang out on the deck and by the firepit. Great cabin with lots of amenities provided. Only comment was that 2nd bedroom was a bit smaller than anticipated with no closet storage but not a huge issue.

Breathtaking hideaway

Scotts home on the cartekay river is absolutely amazing. It’s spotless, beautifully decorated, fully stocked with items you may need. He even got me a crockpot when I asked if there was one in the cabin? The loud rapids were so relaxing. The master bedroom was awesome and the bed was so comfortable. My husband and I are already talking about when we can go back to stay again.

Vacay on the Cartecay

We had such a nice stay at the cabin. It was one of the most relaxing vacations our family has taken because there were so many fun amenities at the cabin, so we stayed there much of the time. The river and all of the fun activities like billiards, ping pong, and corn hole were perfect for us. Cabin was great with everything we needed. We also took a few side trips to Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and Jasper, all really neat towns to visit. Thanks so much to Scott who was a great host!! So thankful we chose this cabin and location.

Perfect stay

We drove up on Christmas Day. I loved the Rapids out front and we actually got some snow on the second day. That was so fun because we are from Florida. I liked a ping pong and poo table in the basement. King bed was comfortable. The teens did not like the two twin beds so they slept on the sofa.

We had an amazing vacation. We saw deer and geese every day. We enjoyed playing (especially our dog) and relaxing in and next to the river. We had fun playing ping pong, pool and bowling in the basement. The cabin is beautifully decorated and the kitchen is well stocked. They have a popcorn machine and supplies. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the opportunity to use it. Thank you again Scott for sharing your wonderful home.

Everything we hoped for our first time booking a cabin and will not be our last.

We had a great time . The spot the cabin is on the Cartecay river is amazing with the rock in the river creating that sound from rapids, very peaceful. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed all we had to do was buy groceries.....very awesome cabin.

Girl Friends' Getaway

Four girl friends stayed here for a week. The house is great and has a great location. It's conveniently located close to many apple orchards. We visited all of them. The scenery is spectacular.

Quit and Relaxing

Loved our stay in Ellijay! It was just we wanted a relaxing getaway for the whole family! The house was beautiful and the master bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in on vacation, hands down!

Great property! We were so relaxed enjoying the sounds of the rushing river by the fire pit. We were also appreciative and surprised to have a Apple Cake waiting for us at check in. Scott is a fabulous host. We look forward to another trip!
