Built originally in the 40s by my father-in-law for his new bride, this home raised my husband and his four siblings. The property has been owned by this family since the 1880s. It was a general farm, then a dedicated dairy farm until the early 1990s. When the dairy operation sold out, we bought the home place and some surrounding acreage. My daughter and her husband now live down near the barns and manage it as an equine facility. We live a few miles away. The Redhouse is between Highways 60 and 286, easily accessible from highway 2532 (County Line Rd), which connects the two state highways. The house has a Ring camera at the front door and the side door. No cameras inside.

Loved the house, it is nicely kept and perfect for a place to get away from it all. Well stocked, everything for a great stay. Loved the area so peaceful and quiet. Host was very gracious and helpful throughout the stay. I recommend this for anyone coming to stay in the Paducah area.

If I could give this place more than five stars, I would this place is amazing if you want peace quiet, and in the country and able to see horses, this is the place for you. The red house had all the amenities that you can ever think of you just need to bring a little food everything else was provided, even eggs and English muffins. Jane and Charles, the owners were amazing. I definitely will be staying there again. Highly recommend this place my dog and I were very, very comfortable.

A very clean, quiet, charming house with a fully stocked kitchen. The fresh eggs were delicious and we really enjoyed the property. Jayna was a great host and we would definitely like to return in the future.

We had a freak storm hit and knocked out the power. The generator ran smoothly and the host cleaned up the property quickly. The property was immaculate and suited all our needs. 10 out of 10.

This was one of the most amazing stays at any rental property we have ever had. First let me say the kitchen has every utensil and pot and pan you need. Muffin pans. Baking pans, stainers mugs, plates bowls, cups. Condiments, butter, farm fresh eggs were in the fridge. Snack bars were provided. Charcoal grill was available for use. Everything was clean and orderly. The house has so much heart and soul in it. You can feel the love that has persisted in this house for decades. The yard is shady & spacious for walking your dogs. Jane was a wonderful host and took great care of us. It was a pleasure meeting her. The farm is across from the red house and is home to 20 something horses. It was an all out wonderful and relaxing stay. Don't hesitate to stay with Jane in the redhouse on the farm. It was truly amazing!!

It was a great place to stay. It’s very easy to get to Paducah and other sites from the house. The host is so great to communicate with. We had to change a day due to my husband interviewing at a church unexpectedly and she was quick to fix it for us. They also provided farm fresh eggs, which we love and muffins for breakfast. There were even some snack bars. We’ve never stayed anywhere that had great cooking utensils as they have here. We want to book again and see things we didn’t get to do because of the weather.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I have been in Ballard County since 1979. I’ve been horse crazy my entire life. Now retired from running the computer lab at the elementary school for 25 years, i have pursued some carpentry skills in addition to being a gramma. Still horse crazy, although riding has been on hold for various reasons.
