Built originally in the 40s by my father-in-law for his new bride, this home raised my husband and his four siblings. The property has been owned by this family since the 1880s. It was a general farm, then a dedicated dairy farm until the early 1990s. When the dairy operation sold out, we bought the home place and some surrounding acreage. My daughter and her husband now live down near the barns and manage it as an equine facility. We live a few miles away. The Redhouse is between Highways 60 and 286, easily gotten to from highway 2532(County Line Rd), which connects the two state highways. The house has a Ring camera at the front door now. No cameras inside.

Second time staying. Still have all positives to say! Wonderfully quiet place for a get away weekend. Well stocked kitchen and items in refrigerator to use for making breakfast included. Details have been thought about for guests. Host is very responsive!

We stayed for about two and a half weeks. The property is quiet and secluded. It was fun looking at the horses across the street every morning. The house was as described, very clean and quiet. Overall we had a great time and would stay again.

We found this home on Vrbo while our bathroom was being remodeled, and to our surprise, it turned out to be absolutely perfect for us. Tucked away in the peaceful countryside, it was an ideal spot—especially with our small dog in tow. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and very accommodating.The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the entire home was spotless, and we loved the welcoming touches—snacks on arrival and a dozen fresh farm eggs waiting in the fridge were such a treat. Communication with the owner was excellent from start to finish. When our contractor needed a few extra days to finish the project, they were incredibly flexible and kind in extending our stay.We couldn’t have asked for a better place or a more gracious host. Highly recommended!

Private, clean, and quiet

This beautiful little country house is so well kept, we enjoyed every minute here. We loved that it was out in the country on a quiet road, yet still easy enough to drive to Paducah and enjoy all the sights. The house is very clean, and great care was put into the decor. We felt immediately at home. We will stay here again if we're in the area!

This was our 4th time staying here, It's like a homecoming for us. The house is IMMACULATELY clean, smells fantastic & the sweet host leaves farm fresh eggs. The best place we ever stayed

Everything here was above and beyond nicer than home. Such a beautiful property and wonderful host. We loved it here! We enjoyed making breakfast in the kitchen which had everything we could need and Kiwi our pup loved the yard. Seriously would give this place 6 stars if I could. The house is beautiful and well cared for and full of cool historical details & decors. Thanks again for having us!

Everything We Needed

This house was everything we needed. Me and three buddies were in town for the weekend and needed a place to rest our heads at night and also prepare a couple meals. The hosue was clean and comfortable and the house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Definitely will be back next time we're around.

A great get away.

Spotlessly clean. The owner provides such special touches and attention to details. We enjoyed the super comfortable beds, breakfast options and my husband may have emptied the candy dish. We got up every morning to see the horses grazing. Peaceful and comfortable, like staying with family. We will definitely be back.

House was bigger than I thought it would be, clean with lots of little amenities. Loved having the space outside to play with our dogs. Very quiet area. The only hard thing was finding it in the dark, but we got there on a second pass.
