Floating Cabin at Steele Creek Marina--CAN NOT BE DRIVEN

During Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar, minimum rental time is 4 nights.

We have a lovely floating cabin with 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom and 1 loft), 1 bath, full kitchen, dining table, living room, front porch, and an upper deck balcony located conveniently near the front of the dock in Steele Creek Marina. We are located in a little slice of paradise on Kerr Lake. The area is peaceful and offers a serene atmosphere. Walking trails are throughout the property. There is plenty of wildlife to see from blue herons, a variety of ducks, catfish and turtles to feed, many deer, geese, etc. A gazebo with a fire pit is nearby. This property is rented as a floating cabin only and stays docked at all times during rental.

Other rentals available on location are pontoon boats, paddle boards, and kayaks (single and tandem).

Fun weekend getaway

Our family enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at Steele Creek Marina in the house boat. It was larger than expected, clean, and the property manager was easy to work with and quick to respond. We docked our boat in a slip on the same dock making for an easy way to quickly enjoy the water with three small children. A great stay. We will be back.

Good place to stay

Had a family gathering in the nearby camp ground and marina. Locals were all very friendly accommodations were well maintained and clean.

What a great location as a fisherman it worked out great. We caught lots of catfish.

It was a great location, we did lots of fishing and had a blast.

Second time staying in the little house boat. It’s so cozy and the area is so quiet and peaceful. Loved being able to have a slip for our boat too for further enjoying the lake.

Great Houseboat

This houseboat is great! It exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, had everything we would need. The AC units blew very cold, which we needed because the summer heat was hot. The bed was very comfortable. The staff at the marina were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. This place is a must try. You will enjoy it.

Weekend Getaway

The only reason I did not give overall 5 stars.....the shower head needs to go. The shower would be so much better with a removable shower head. Everything else was wonderful!!!

Would have been nice to list that we need our own sheets and towels in the listing. Also shout have been give the gate code to enter at night after 9:00 with out having to ask.

Boathouse

My brother and I really enjoyed our stay. All the other boat owners were very nice and made us feel comfortable. I was able to work around the Wi-Fi by using my phone as a hotspot. The back door doesn’t lock and the shower mat needs to be changed. Other than those few things, it was great and would definitely book again. Thank you!!

Nice Houseboat on Kerr Lake

Very nice cozy floating cottage on beautiful Kerr Lake. Highlights include scenic setting at Steele Creek Marina, comfortable bed, roomy space for a couple, upper level porch, large sliding glass screened doors at either end were nice for cross-venelation. Nicely equipped with a medium sized fridge, range top and even a small gas grill on front porch. Small bar with 2 stools and dining table with 4 chairs. Only other "living room" furniture was a rather uncomfortable futon/couch. No coffee mugs even though there was a coffee maker. Could have also used paper towels and dish soap, but otherwise fairly well equipped. Only included 2 porch chairs (bring your own folding chairs so you can use them on the upstairs deck)

We checked in on Saturday and we meet up with our friends who also had boats at the marina. We also have a boat in dry storage and we love this lake. The boat was just what my family needed and provided the space for us to relax and have fun.

VERY relaxing

Will definitely come back. Property is Kerr lake not Gaston. Wifi is basically non existent so don't plan on it being there. The property is great so wifi isn't necessary

Awesome Weekend!

We came down for the weekend and had a great time! Make sure you bring a set of Queen size sheets. From the moment we got there, everything was great. As each day went by it only got greater. From the fishing off the back (caught 3 large catfish), swimming off the back of the boat, to the late night power outage that caused everyone on the pier to come out and start talking. This led into a community gathering that was amazing. Everyone on the pier were welcoming and fun to hang out with. We didn't want to leave this little heaven on earth. We plan to schedule another longer weekend soon. Thanks to everyone and the owners for all their assistance during our stay.
