We bought this log cabin because it felt like home to us. The neighborhood is beautiful to walk/run through, which is hard to find in the Clarksville area. We love that there is only a slight slope from the lake to the house, which makes it safe for kids and elderly guests. You'll see that it's rare to find a property like ours on Kerr Lake. Lake access can be treacherous from some properties. Not ours! It's right on a beautiful, calm cove with a sandy beach nearby. Locals gather on the beach to mingle, kids swim and play horseshoes, families use the picnic table and grill for waterside lunches. It's idyllic, really. Spending the evenings or early mornings sitting on the dock and watching the heron and eagles fly overhead is so relaxing. Lounging in a float in the cove or paddling over to the sandy beach is another favorite activity. We also enjoy catching our dinner - usually catfish. It's great that you can enjoy the lake (and tasty fish) with or without a boat. I like the private cove because I can jump off the dock and swim around with my kids without worrying about boats, tubers, etc. running us over or making big waves. Plus, there's plenty of space for skiing and wake boarding on the main channel just a short boat ride away. The Log Cabin is also very close to Longwood Recreation Area on US Highway 15, which has a boat ramp, swimming area and playground. Bobcat's bait and tackle is also around the corner for all of your fishing needs. The proximity of the cabin to downtown Clarksville is great for short boat rides to lunch or evenings out. Two grocery stores, fast food options, elegant dining and shopping is just a 5-mile drive from the cabin by car.
