PLUSES AND MINUSES
This was our first stay at Phoenix X and overall it was pleasant. The 1 BR 1 BA condo was perfect for my husband and I. On the plus side, it was very convenient to be next door to Flora Bama and within walking distance of Flora Bama Yacht Club and Ole River Grill for dining. The views are amazing everywhere, even from the parking garage! It was also a very short walk/trip to beach with a very short boardwalk. On the negative side, the bed was extremely firm for my liking and I ended up sleeping in the recliner my last night there (which is another story itself). I was able to find a piece of memory foam stored beside the washing machine which made it tolerable for the most part. I wish they would have offered additional blankets because the bedding was merely a flat sheet and thin blanket. The furniture is very nice and great quality leather but the couch needs some breaking in as it is a little firm and springy. The recliners are very comfortable but it literally took all our strength to attempt to close the reclining footrest. You would have to get a rocking start because your feet dont touch the floor while sitting. And still, I couldn't close it until I was standing up! The patio furniture was in need of repair with tears in the upholstery and the chaise lounge was ripped beyond use. And then there was the construction...we were aware there would be some construction going on but it was pretty extensive. Early morning beeping of heavy equipment machinery and drilling which could get noisy at times. It sounds as though the negative outweighs the positive, but honestly, we enjoyed our time here. We would stay at the facility again and possibly this unit but may try another next time just to see what other options are available.
