DIRECT OCEAN FRONT. Take in the stunning OCEAN VIEWS from the Deck and Crow's Nest or stroll to the Sandy Beach from this 4 Bedroom, 3 Full Bath Home located in the desirable town of Avon in the Outer Banks.

Fully furnished & recently renovated, this home has a Open Living Top Level with Stunning Views, Dining Area which seats 8 comfortably & has Sliders to two Decks & Screened Porch, Large Living room w/Soaring Skylight Ceilings, Flat Screen TV's throughout, DVD Player and Wireless Hi-Speed Internet great for remote work or learning!! The Kitchen has a Breakfast Bar, Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher & Full Size Refrigerator. There are 4 Bedrooms on the 1st Floor: Two Queen Bedrooms that share a Full Bath Between, a 3rd Bedroom with a Double Bed & 4th Bedroom with Twin over Full bunk plus trundle that share a Full Bath located in the Hallway. Over sized Outdoor Private Hot Shower to rinse off after a day at the beach. Grill outside. Full Size Washer & Dryer also!

Come & enjoy my beautiful home & this serene location for your next vacation! The sunrise is absolutely breath taking. The calm in the morning is second to none. Get a cup of 'Joe' and watch the sun rise! Or get a good book from the bookcase and relax and read. Maybe you want to make a puzzle as a family activity. We have that too ! Relaxation is the name of the game here. Enjoy a good movie, or get on the internet. If cocktail hour is your enjoyment, go up to the 'crow's nest' and imbibe in a cold refreshing 'mood adjuster'. No surprises here, the pictures tell the story. Bed linens and bath towels included. Call me, Tony, and I will answer all your questions.

Pool access starts approximately May 15 and runs through the end of September.

Quiet Private Oceanfront. Only 5 houses on the street. Very quiet !!

High School Girls Week

We had a wonderful relaxing time. Loved that the house was ON the beach, we spent a lot of time walking the beach. We had 6 people and there was plenty of room inside and out on the deck. Good amenities too. We explored the area, found many great restaurants (ate seafood everyday!), awesome coffee shops and endless areas to visit. Property would be great for families too.

Spring Break

Great trip! The house is located on the ocean with amazing views. We spent most days on the beach fishing and swimming. We would rent again! Oh, and the dogs loved it. Pet friendly and quiet.

Short getaway with friends

This property is in a GREAT location with quick access to the beach.The house itself was clean although a bit basic and would benefit with some updating. The owner is very responsive and professional.

Group of fishermen...

As a group of tight knit pals who love to surf fish, we don't need much...but Tony and Co. saw to it that all our needs were met. House is great, views are fantastic, location is stellar. We hope use Diamond Shells again.

Relaxing and comfortable stay-

Property has a great view. Quiet neighborhood is just what we were looking for! The decking looked new and everything was solid even in the wind. The host was very responsive when we ran into a little problem with technology. The only recommendation I could make would be when you're ready to replace the deck furniture, get something higher so you can see over the railing and enjoy the ocean view in its.emtireity. more c more.complet

Great house and location

We enjoyed our stay and loved the area! The community pool was a great bonus, and the convenient location near restaurants, shops and an uncrowded beach made it an ideal getaway for the family!

perfect for family vacation

We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our yearly trip to Avon. The home was clean, well stocked with basic needs (hangers, kitchen supplies, toilet paper, linens, pillows), and provided quiet and relaxing beach days. The walking path through the dunes to the sand was a bit brutal but nothing we couldn’t handle. The host was easy to communicate with and helped resolve a minor cable issue quickly. The view from the back deck can’t be beat. We would definitely stay again.

Relaxation

The house was great for our group of 7. It was very clean. The owner was great about communicating with us. There are lots of stairs and climbing the dunes to the beach aren’t for the faint of heart, but the beach was almost always quiet and serene. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Thanksgiving 2024

The property was beautiful and big enough for 9 people (7 adults and 2 children). The kitchen it well stocked. We were excited to see the toaster over and multiple 12cup coffee pots. We didn't use the dishwasher because we used more paper products. We did notice the kitchen sink cabinet had water in it and the owner was quick to respond about having it corrected. We would stay again!

Relaxing beach stay

The kitchen was well stocked and the location was fabulous. We had the beach almost to ourselves for long beautiful walks. The neighborhood was quiet. If you have someone who does not navigate stairs well this property wouldn’t be for you.

Title doesn’t lie Stayed in Buxton past but area around that house was under construction, so tried Diamond Shells. It was a blessing in disguise. Perfect location in Avon

The property was wonderful! Tony was easily available if needed; however, we had no concerns or issues. The kitchen was well appointed. The frying pans looked new. The beds were very comfortable. The house was clean and there was a garden hose and outside shower available to wash off sand. A Foodlion, Ace Hardware, and Duck Donuts was just down the street. We were also very close to a BP Gas Station. It was nice to be so close to gas and groceries since we were so far south. We loved Avon. The beach and community was so inviting!

Great Week In OBX

The house was just what we were looking for and only steps to the beach. We traveled with a 1 year old and wanted something where we could easily go to/from the house and the beach. Diamond Shoals did not disappoint. Unobstructed ocean views from the main living room/kitchen level on a quiet side street with only 3 homes. Only people on the beach were other renters/homeowners in adjacent homes so we had our pick of any spot we wanted. The owner (Tony) checked in to make sure things were going well and responded promptly. If you’re looking for a private, beachfront home, this is just the place. Don’t forget to try Duck Donuts, visit the Avon pier and drive on the beach at the ORV access, all within a mile of the house.

Wonderful Family Vacation

The house is beautiful!! Incredibly easy access to the beach (1 minute walk over the dunes-no road to cross). Bedrooms very comfy. Plenty of showers (inside and outside). Dining/family room/kitchen upstairs very open with gorgeous views of ocean. Four decks with beautiful views. Tony, the owner, was very responsive to any and all questions. Laundry worked great. Grocery store 1/2 mile away. We had an amazing family vacation!

Great Beach House, Avon is a great beach town.

This was our first time to OBX. What my wife and I loved about Avon is that it’s not overly commercialized, so laid back, clean, and what is there, is quality. Then you add in staying at Diamond Shells and it was a perfect first OBX trip and perfect house to stay in! Diamond Shells was great for us! The sunrises were awesome, the beach is so secluded that if you have a young family and want space, Avon and diamond shells is for you. The path behind the home has a sign that states it’s protected and we followed the instructions to the steps about 500 feet away. The other houses around us used the path, but we close to respect the land. Great nature and wildlife, a deer came in the evenings on the protected dune to graze. The kitchen is more than adequate IMO for a beach house, and all bathrooms were cleanly and functioning properly. The outdoor shower was perfect and worked as intended and there is also a large garden hose to use as well. Air conditioning worked well and there is a condenser unit for the main living floor(bedrooms) and the kitchen/family room (top of home) so we were quite comfortable. You’re less than 800 yards from Food Lion, a good Italian/pizza place (Greta’s), and a gas station is about 200 yards from the house. The pool is less than a mile down the road and was very clean, not full, and great to have part of your rental with Diamond Shells! You’re allowed to take a cooler and food We would definitely recommend staying here!

Lifetime OBX'rs! My wife Jamie is an avid sheller and if left to her own devices would meander on the beach in search of that ever elusive perfect conch until well after the sun sets. I enjoy relaxing on the beach by day and staring up at the clear starry sky at night. Our son Quinton mostly enjoys spending his time knocking down anything I build in the sand and talking about dinosaurs.

Owning a piece of the outer banks has been a dream for Jamie and I. While we have spent most of our summers in Buxton, the frequent flooding in that area deterred us from purchasing property there. Our new house Diamond Shells in Avon is perfectly situated on an elevated plot of land in a private area of the beach with plenty of dunes on the ocean side to protect the home from the mighty Atlantic surf.
