Absolutely stunning. Seafield Cottage and where it is situated is beautiful. The outdoor spa was lovely and the thoughtful touches of bread, eggs, milk, wine and condiments were greatly appreciated. It was easy to switch off and relax watching the tuis and listening to the lambs.Sheryl was an amazing host and although lives close by, we had total privacy.We will definitely be syaing again.

Amazing!!!

What a truly amazing stay! The cottage was absolutely perfect, we loved the fire, spa pool, gardens, fresh fruit, and most of all that fabulous view! Also couldn’t go without mentioning how comfy the bed is. All in all a perfect stay, thank you!

Seafield Cottage is an absolutely beautiful place to stay! Soooo relaxing! Sheryl and Paul were amazing hosts that provided EVERYTHING to make our stay unforgettable! Seafield Cottage definitely sets the bar for all accomadations to come for us....we cant wait to one day come back to New Zealand and again stay at Seafield Cottage

Wonderful Hosts

This is a wonderful place to relax and explore the Napier area. The house is on a beautiful piece of property. When we arrived there were provisions in the fridge and Sheryl welcomed us. It was a very pleasant experience and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. We were sad to leave.

Wonderful Stay!

I stayed here for two weeks and the experience was wonderful. Sheryl was such a welcoming and lovely host and accommodated us with whatever we needed or asked for. It was comfortable and the view and surrounding area was beautiful to experience, especially in the hot tub! Staying here was worth the extra bit of distance from Napier and Hastings because it felt so removed from the city and had lots of peace and quiet (including the occasional distant bleat of sheep or moos!). Because my partner and I are total homebodies, it was a nice place to experience and appreciate the nature in NZ on the days we didn't go out. I highly recommend staying here, especially if you have or plan to rent a car!

Gorgeous retreat

We had a fabulous stay at Seafield cottage. We absolutely loved the views and the sounds of nature around the cottage. Its a fabulous stay if you're wanting a little retreat out of the hustle and bustle of evryday life. Sheryl was a lovely host and was very accommodating for us.

A little patch of paradise

This was our second visit to the cottage. Such a lovely spot for a little get away. We love the view, privacy and facilities that the cottage offers. The cottage is small and compact but has absolutely everything that you need. We nave decided that we will have to be sure to come back annually :)

A great place for a restful break

This property is comfotable and welcoming. The host really makes it a home from home, they have many personal touches to make your stay a good one. The property is peaceful, quiet and with no light polution , a great place to sit out under the stars. There are so many places on the property to sit with very different outlooks, you will always have a place to rest.

Amazing holiday

This was easily one of the best places we've ever stayed at. Impeccable, functional, and stunning. The host (Sheryl) was friendly, kind, and helpful. She gave us our space, but was always on hand to help if needed. We will definitely come back if we can. I cannot say enough nice things about this gem of a place. 🙂

Outstanding location for those who desire bliss

I cannot possibly praise this place enough! The photos do not do it justice. Sheryl communicated with us perfectly prior to arrival and in even more detail when she knew she would not able to meet us on site as planned. In her absence, her husband, Paul, greeted us and was kind enough to show us around the property, giving us a bit of the history behind its evolution. What he and Sheryl have created in the landscape, the gardens, the decor and amenities in the unit itself are astounding. We had a long day getting there from Nelson and didn't arrive until after 5 PM. The fridge was stocked with enough goodies for us to make a light dinner and hearty breakfast. Every kitchen and bath detail one could wish for was available. The most comfortable robes you'll ever find got us to and from the nearby hot tub to relax under the full moon. And the morning sunrise greeted us through the windows/doors on the front of the building. The sounds of Tui and other birds feeding from the deck were delightful. (I think I even had a personal relationship going with the really fat Tui.) Our stay was too short. Please plan your stay to include at least 3-4 nights. Our next regret was in not getting to meet Sheryl, the artist who planned, designed and created the gardens which provided absolute zen with every view and breath.

Fabulous haven for relaxation in comfort

A magnificent country setting and a very well appointed cottage make this a truly special place to stay. The owners could not have been more helpful, yet give you total privacy in the accommodation. Excellent facilities. A well appointed kitchen, modern bathroom, and very comfortable bed all add to the experience. Wandering round the beautiful gardens, and soaking in the hot tub add extra bonus points to this truly amazing place.

Magical Memories

The overall experience felt like an outerbody experience!!! This is nature on steroids. Cheryl and Paul's studio, once you settle in you won't want to leave. Just sitting outside on the comfortable sofa while watching the birds drink from Cheryl's special formula was my favorite! Viewing the stars while sitting in the spa was high on the list too! Don't hesitate booking, we tried to extend our stay but the studio was booked so you might want to add a few more days to your stay..

Old sports people who have played everything. We needed a new challenge which this property provided. We wanted to make a safe, tranquil environment for couples to come and really reconnect and recharge. Our feedback seems to say that we have succeeded in this.
Having come from a stressful corporate background myself, to find a place to take "time out" was paramount. Now sharing it with others is a unique experience, and mutually beneficial.

A childhood dream was to have a lifestyle block to grow my own fruit and veges with chooks and furry friends. We have a unique "getaway" and the most pleasure we have is to be able to share this with guests. We came upon this property while it was still in Pine forest. Watching it being felled whilst out cycling. It was a complete bomb site trees debris, stumps, rocks and pinecones. To transform it into my dream has been the best thing we have ever achieved. Looking down at the twinkling sea over the mess was enough to realise "this was the place"...Now with our plantings the native birdlife is returning. Big fat pheasants, wood pigeon, bellbirds, fantails, quail, Tui, friendly ducks etc etc. There is an abundance of fruit and nuts on our trees and we are living the dream.
