When staying at a traditional Kiwi Bach, like ours, guests bring their own linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea-towels). We have a compulsory cleaning fee of $100 per stay.

Our bach is nestled in a sunny sheltered position. This well appointed 3 bedroom bach has everything that you need to make the most of your stay in Kuratau. Kickback and relax or partake in the many recreational activities available on your doorstep year-round, all from the comfort of this home from home.

The open plan living area has plenty of space for everyone, a large flat screen TV with all the usual apps (Use your own login for paid apps eg. Netflix) and a bluetooth speaker. From here, step out to the garden - a large private flat lawn ideal for ball games, and a BBQ for summer entertaining. Outdoor furniture with an umbrella for those sunny days or cosy up in front of the gas fire on those colder winter nights and enjoy a movie or board game.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. Amenities include oven, microwave, blender, crock pot, electric fry pan, lots of pots/pans/crockery/etc and a dishwasher to do the hard work for you while you enjoy a freshly brewed cappuccino from the Nespresso machine (BYO Pods).

The bunk bedroom has 2 x single bunk beds and a wall mounted flat screen TV with USB drive full of children's movies, as well as books, toys and games. Babys travel cot available.

Kuratau is a safe swimming spot, has easy boat access to the lake. World renowned trout fishing is available at both local rivers and the lake, plus there are many walking / biking / bush tracks to enjoy.

10 mins to Tokaanu - Hot Pools, white water rafting. 15 mins to Turangi – boat charters, Tongariro River Trail, National Trout Centre, golf and gateway to Tongariro National Park. Whakapapa ski-field is about 50 mins away.
