Okiwi Bay beach front bach

Fully furnished iconic kiwi bach. Perfect location with beach right across the road. Great for children. Only one hour’s drive from Nelson and Blenheim, Okiwi Bay is an idyllic spot to get away from it all, with some of the best fishing in the region right on your doorstep. If fishing's not your thing these are plenty of other activities to do in the bay including, swimming, bush walks, kayaking, a children's playground or just relaxing. Large flat section with plenty of room for boats and vehicles.
Special conditions:
Smoking allowed outside only
No TV reception but two DVD players and TV's for movie watching
Ceramic tower heater in lounge and econo panel heaters in bedroom 2.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

A kiwi bach from the 70s

Great location for this kiwi bach from the 70s. Don't expect anything modern as it is not in this bach. Does have a great fridge freezer.

Great weekend fishing

Lovely 2 bedroom home excellent fish and boat cleaning facilities everything you need for great stay at okiwi bay. We got some great advice from locals on fishing spots but dont forget your insect repellant the sand flys never give up

Ōkiwi Bay

Amazing location, we managed to get an amazing home to stay in that we loved. It had everything you needed including a meat thermometer that we desperately needed for our tomahawk steaks. The hosts were very helpful and friendly AAA +++ Regards, Fordy & Family

Little Gem

The little kiwi batch. Huge character, true feeling of holiday. Grounds we're superb for all our vehicles and toys and in great location. Property manager is lovley and easy to work with. Overall experience for our family was a happy one.

Amazing location.

Such a great location opposite the water and close to boat ramp. We loved our stay here and was perfect for our family. Be aware, this is a very very dated kiwi Bach.

Brilliant location waterfront view.

Excellent truly authentic bach!

We loved our stay! The location simply can’t be beat. It is right across the street from the beach, huge lawn to play on, only a 2 minute walk to the boat ramp/kayak rental/coffee cart and a 1 minute walk in the other direction from the small store at the holiday park. The bach was very tidy, well-stocked with dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, fish cleaning bench out back, as well as plenty of cleaning supplies. Oh, and the microwave works just fine. Beds were comfy, too! Definitely a bonus! 😊 Make no mistake, this bach is from a bygone era, but that is what we loved about it. If you’re looking for a cosy landing pad after a day of outdoor adventuring you’d be hard pressed to find anything better. We would absolutely come stay again.
