The house was exactly what we needed for our extended family visit. The layout was perfect with separate living spaces, right on the river with a nice screened porch, and it was close to our family.

Host communication is great. Easy checkin & out. The house is roomy, kitchen is well equipped. The back patio is so peaceful I could sit there and watch the river flow all day! We had challenges with main bedroom AC unit going offline, beeping in the middle of the night, every night (ran fine during daytime). Host offered to get on a call with me and customer service to get it worked out but I declined - that was last thing I wanted to do on a “get away from it all” trip. The 2 neighboring houses are very close, like a typical neighborhood. One shares the driveway. We did see and chat with them every time we were outdoors. The renters on the left had two very active boys who began their days early & loudly - as children do. This is not the host’s fault, but I’m including this detail for those who are looking for solitude, it definitely depends on who is next door. Trash pickup at 4:30AM was also incredibly loud right outside the front of the house. This detail is not in listing & only provided in the booking confirmation: The river is 6 miles from a dam. There is no notice when they open the dam. If you are in the river, you have to be aware of water level changes. It goes from shin deep to 4-6 ft with strong currents in about 15 minutes. We found it very difficult to get down to the water. The bank is very steep. There are about 15 wooden steps but they end several feet before the water then you have to scale slippery rocks hidden in tall grass.

Very spacious cabin with great porch space overlooking a beautiful river.

We will definitely like to come back and stay longer. Five days was not enough. Enjoyed cooking out on porch with family that lives in Blairsville and fishing in the river.. spacious quiet cabin super close to the river so you enjoy the sounds as you relax on the porch or open screened doors in the dinning room. Had a great time. Thanks for sharing your place.

Riverside

Very clean. Large and well appointed. Not easy to get in to cabin for older people. No hand rail on steps.

Heavenly cabin on Earth

This cabin was AMAZING...location is indescribable except as HEAVENLY! The owners are EXTREMELY nice and helpful and responds QUICKLY! This home away from home was spotless, stocked and cozy- pics WONT do it justice! Already shared info with friends who will be scheduling future stays- IF they can beat us too it! THANK YOU GAGE FAMILY!

peaceful getaway

This Cabin has everything you could possibly need, Beautiful Notley river just out your back porch which had perfect gating rails for our little sami, he loved playing out on the long deck with the River rushing by. This beautiful cabin was just what we needed for a little getaway, nice yard, plenty of firewood, chairs in the shed a swing ,hammock , and steps down to the river. This Cabin is Beautiful, spacious and all you could need and more included. will be back soon. mike and carol Johnson florida
