Nice and Comfortable

This is a simple beach house, the kind we grew up going to for our family vacations. It’s the basics: clean, comfortable and all we needed for a pleasant stay. Beach front is great. We’d stay again, especially this time of year.

Wonderful Beach House!

This house was a perfect, casual getaway that we would definitely rent again. It was a beautiful location with miles of beach to walk in either direction. Sunrise and sunset were enjoyable and the deck was perfect for relaxing. We needed a couple of things during our stay and the property manager responded quickly.

Quaint beach cottage

Lovely beach cottage in the perfect location! It’s older and could use a few repairs but the location makes up for it. Property manager was very helpful and responded to our call immediately. Kitchen is well equipped. We would definitely rent again.

Perfect

Great location and perfect for my dog. Loved the cat walk with all the gates. House is older but clean. Fully stocked kitchen. Beds comfortable. Good water pressure in shower. Will definitely stay again.

Beach Trip

Location was excellent. Did not find the beds to be very comfortable. When checked in , only provided with 2 towels. Had to ask for more. Access to beach couldn't have been better. Back porch was a favorite place to relax.

We understand that comfort can be subjective, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.-Linen service is provided by a third-party vendor, and each set includes one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth per guest.-Since your reservation was for two people, the vendor delivered two sets accordingly. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.Thank you again for your kind words about the location and the back porch—we think it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the ocean view!"

Loved our stay

We were so excited about our first ever house on the beach and it did not disappoint. Super easy access to the beach and the house was great! Very clean and comfortable. Only issue we had was with the doors, the lock in the front of house was sticky but we got in and the keypad on the back did not work at all. But we managed through out the week with little issues. Also wish there was a grill but it was just m, my boyfriend and his son so not a big issues either. We will definitely come back!

Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this house. Upon entering, the smell of mildew is overwhelming then you come upon the buckling paneled walls in nearly every room. The grate that covers the air filter was covered in dust and if you have the strength to wrestle the windows open, there aren’t any screens. Speaking of windows - the one bedroom window of the back porch that actually opens can easily be opened by anyone standing on the back porch. We left after being in home for just o er 12 hours due to air quality yet are only being given a partial refund and are still be required to pay a full cleaning fee

We’re sorry to hear that the home didn’t meet your expectations, especially given the challenging weather during your stay. The homeowner would like to provide additional context in response to your concerns:- The damp smell you noted may have been amplified by the Nor’Easter that coincided with your stay; heavy coastal storms can increase humidity and moisture in older homes like ours.- Our cleaning team, which was in the property two days prior, did not report any odor or mildew, and we haven’t received similar comments from other guests.- Due to the home’s vintage coastal design, the original windows can be more difficult to open, and we do not install screens as they’re not compatible with the structure- The bedroom window on the back porch was damaged after being forced open and required repairs following your stay, though we did not charge you for this.- Although you chose to leave early, our team still issued a refund that exceeded your original request in an effort to be fair, given the circumstances.We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the guest experience.
