This wonderful 3-bedroom cottage, situated as a separate part of a larger property, offers a unique retreat with over 100 meters of direct lakefront access. Cudgeree welcomes your family pet to join you in this dog-friendly property, featuring a fenced yard for their enjoyment.

Conveniently positioned, Cudgeree is a short walk, ride, or paddle away from the lakes entrance, local beaches, and various water recreation spots. Whether you're seeking leisure or work accommodation, this is your ideal destination. Ample private parking is available on-site for your boat or truck.

Inside, discover a fully equipped kitchen and a gem of a property that has everything you need for the perfect getaway. The back porch offers a serene setting to savor morning coffee or a BBQ dinner with friends or family, while enjoying freshly caught fish and crab against the backdrop of a sunset over the water. Aldi coffee machine and pods.

Within walking distance, you’ll find a variety of dining options, including local cafes, Thai & Indian restaurants, and the always popular fish and chips. The local Lake Illawarra Hotel and Club Windang Bowling Club are also just minutes away. Beyond the property going south, make memories with your family at Reddall Reserve. The huge park for kids is fantastic with BBQ area’s, swimming, boating and Ocean right at your leisure. The Lake Foreshore bike track from Windang to Shellharbour is at your doorstep. Walk to cafes, restaurants, and shops in the village or take a short drive to major shopping centers. Have a stroll along the Warilla Beach and surrounds seawall walkway, explore the nearby par 72 championship Port Kembla Golf Course just down the road or enjoy family-friendly activities like the driving range and mini golf.

Go north and go to Warrawong Plaza for shopping, eatery, movie theatre and famous Port Kembla Beach. Jamberoo Action Park is a wonderful day out or visit many local walking tracks. The options are endless.


During your stay, enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi and Netflix, with a TV in the lounge room for entertainment. An air-conditioner ensures your comfort, and the fully fenced property accommodates your pets. Complimentary soaps, shampoo/conditioner, and basic kitchen cleaning supplies are provided for the first few days.

Accommodating 7 to 8 people (a single trundle can be provided to accommodate an extra 8th guest.) The property includes a porta cot and highchair. The main bedroom features a queen bed, the second bedroom has another queen bed, and the third bedroom offers a double bed with a single over. Beautiful outlook

Three generations of our family enjoyed a pleasant and relaxing stay. The home was clean and the beds were comfy. Our toddler loved the shaded garden and secure fencing ensured he was safe from the lake and the road.

Magnificent Lake

Family ranging from 10 to 78yrs and dog thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful rest by the ever changing lake. Amazing bird life and very comfortable, clean and practical house. Fully fenced for pets. Thank you, will be back.

Great Views

Great location and pet friendly. Big private yard overlooking Lake Illawarra and the mountains. Close to shops, the pub, beaches and Restaurants. Highly recommend.

Perfect pet friendly stay

Myself, my partner and our large dog stayed at Mick & Bel’s place and had a fantastic time. The accommodation had everything we needed and was the perfect place to leave our dog in the fully fenced yard. On low tide it’s great to be able to walk straight out into the lake, the water is shallow and perfect for swimming, kayaking, or taking a stroll. I’m a little sensitive to noise, so on the first night the sound of the traffic took a bit of getting used to, but by the second night it was barely noticeable. Highly recommend.

Great quick getaway

Great little spot for local swimming and beaches. Dog beach not far away. Quick drive to Shellharbour. Kiama, Wollongong or Berry. BUT was very windy so wasn’t able to truly enjoy the yard and hammock.

Lake house getaway

So relaxing staying by the lake. The house had everything we needed for a 4 night stay. Our dog loved the backyard and kids pleasantly surprised to see the video arcade player. Our 2nd stay at the Lakehouse I’m sure it won’t be our last. Thanks to our hosts for a wonderful stay.

Walk to the serene lake in the morning from the living room was amazing! Lots of actitivities and the host prepared just about everything for a multigenerational travelers like ours to enjoy. Will come back!

Pretty as a picture

The property was exactly as described and photographed 😊 We had the most relaxing short break and the yard was so dog friendly and secure. The communication was on point and so friendly. We look forward to rebooking 😊 Also our puppy loved her first ocean adventure 🐶

Great for the kids and dogs

We had such a nice time with the kids and dogs. The kayaks that were provided gave endless fun for the kids. Life jackets were also there for use. Great view. Great location. We took kids to Jamberoo action park which a very short drive from the property. There was huge variety of restaurants to get delivery or eat at. Communication with host was fantastic. Beds were so comfortable. Just a really easy home to stay in. House is on a main road but you wouldn’t know it Huge auto front gate locks everyone in nice n safe. Good sized yard. The dogs loved it We’ll be back !

Loved that it was right on the lake. Loved the layout. Loved the nice touches like different flavoured coffees, teas. Kids loved the bathbombs, hammock, guitars and kayaks. Shame it rained most of the time and there is no undercover area outside to sit and enjoy the view but could still enjoy from inside. We had a great stay!

Wonderful location & amenities

We had a great few days at Cudgeree Bay Lakehouse. Perfect for unwinding and relaxing, the location and facilities were exactly what we needed for a family mini break in summer. The sunsets were are a highlight. Our Pomeranian loved snuffling around the fully fenced backyard. We will definitely be back again.

How can you not make yourself at home…

The family had a ball!! Kids asked to stay for two weeks!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful lake house with us, allowing us to create memories for life. Every little detail was perfect, definitely worth the stay :)

Love this place!

Really lovely place with a beautiful back drop, huge backyard. Had a lovely time celebrating my Dad’s 70th Birthday with my family. We will definitely be back.

The good: Property views were amazing!! Had its own jetty to fish on and view the sunse. Outdoor area is very beautiful They had everything you could possibly need and more! Fishing poles, even provided bait! Bonfire with logs available - although didn't use given the weather Bed is the most comfortable bed I've ever had on a vacation!! Sheets were very soft Views from bedrooms were amazing Adequate power points available Outdoor area is very dark once the sun goes down but they have fairy lights and a light sensor outside which was comforting. The beach is only about a 10min walk away. Had a lot of nice small touches like bathroom amenities (soap, toothbrush etc), coffee / tea), olive oil for cooking. They set up the oven so you could bake things in a foil tray which was nice. The property is on a main road (still not very many cars) but once you close the gates it feels very secure and safe. The bad: Utensils have seen better days Dishwasher had a weird smell Couch - in comparison to the beds - was not great and had seen better days. TV kept dropping out but turning it off and on seemed to do the trick. This property is a 10/10 even with the minor issues I had, I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, relaxing getaway.

Fantastic property

When we arrived at the location, we were astounded at how clean the house was and the lakeside view right outside the living room, the amenities were fantastic and the place was exactly the same as the photos posted online. The beach was also a 5 minute walk from the house. Overall very pleased with the stay.

Great little house with superb view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed and has an excellent view over the lake. It is right on the road, but once you close the big secure front gate you hardly notice.

A perfect getaway

The property in Windang was perfect for our large family that stayed for over a week. It had all the usual ameneties for living comfortably. We also got to experience fishing off the jetty and kayaking with the equipment provided. The bus stop directly outside allowed easy access to Wollongong.
