Solid, comfortable home for a large group. Great access to the beach a very short walk down the street, a handy elevator for sending heavy loads, and very quick response from the property liaison. Few things to note: pans need updated badly, so if you plan on cooking regularly, bring your own. They provide not only bath towels but plenty of beach towels as well.... we always pack our own, but good information if you want to save some room packing!

We're so glad the home worked well for your large group, with the easy beach access, the elevator for hauling gear, and quick responses along the way. Thanks for the heads up on the cookware, we know it's important for anyone planning to cook during their stay and we'll be resupplying the pans. We’re glad the beach towels helped save some packing space. We hope we have the opportunity to host your group again should your travels bring you back to beautiful OKI.

This property was perfect for our family vacation. The house was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of seating for dining. Love the location, very quiet street with a short walk to the beach. We only had to contact the host once and he was very quick to respond. There was a burn ban in NC so we didn’t get to utilize the fire pit but it is a great bonus.

Beautiful home on a quiet street just a couple blocks from the beach. Super clean and free from clutter. Kitchen had all the basics and the beds were quite comfortable. Property manager was extremely helpful and kind. Lots of great restaurants. We highly recommend Outer Banks Boil Company-they provide easy to follow cooking instructions and it was delicious!

We had a wonderful time at this location. House is great. Not far from the beach. No big walkways or hills to go across to get to the beach. The dock outback was also very nice. There were four couples and a five-year-old. Everyone had plenty of space and bathrooms. Would definitely consider renting again.

Long weekend Family celebration

Everything about this house was perfect for our family getaway at the beach! The beds were comfy, kitchen had what we needed to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner, plenty of space to hang out & relax, short walk to the beach, playing games in the evening, quiet porches for good conversations. We would totally stay here again if we can all get together!!!

Great house and location

Excellent communication by property manager. House is comfortable and backyard has beautiful views. Beach access two blocks away right at the end of the road.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at this property! The house was clean when we arrived and the host had great communication with us. It really is the best of both worlds being a few blocks from the beach but with the dock and canal views right out back! We spent days at the beach and evenings by the fire pit. There was plenty of space and great room/bathroom arrangements, especially for those of us vacationing with smaller kids. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Host

Doctors orders was a beautiful house with plenty of room for our family, close walk to the beach and a short drive to grocery stores and restaurants. Our host Bryan was so communicative and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Amazing stay!

We could not have asked for a more perfect beach experience! This house is amazing, spacious, and was perfect for our group. It’s such an easy walk to the beach and close to everything so driving/Ubering anywhere was quick and easy. The elevator was super convenient for getting heavier items to each level instead of carrying them up the steps. We loved having our morning coffee on the dock, enjoying the marsh views and breeze. The beds were super comfortable and the house was stocked with everything you could need. We will absolutely be staying here again and can’t wait to come back!

Amazing location and home! Back yard was on canal and we enjoyed crabbing. We were just a few minutes walk from the ocean with a beautiful beach. Minutes driving distance to restaurants, ice cream, shops on the island and a short drive to Southport. We had 6 adults and 1 eight month old..house was perfect with quiet space upstairs for baby naps. Beds were extremely comfy. Loved stand up showers, jetted bath tubs, open floor plans, big kitchen and outside decks and spaces. PERFECT in every way!!!

This home is quite exceptional! It did NOT disappoint!! We had seven adults in the house and never once did we feel crowded or get in each other's way..... a front porch, back porch, upstairs porch, and spacious living and dining room ensured everyone had a place to go. LOVED the location with a short walk to the beach and a private backyard with a wonderful fire pit along with a dock for the back waterway. The kitchen is spacious and had just the right amount of everything that we needed to cook for the week. Appliances worked perfectly. AC was excellent. The beds were comfortable. The elevator was a plus for unloading cars and groceries. With 3 1/2 baths we never had a problem there either!Our only complaint was that the week went by too quickly!! Everyone in our family said they would come to Oak Island again if we could stay in this home. Highly recommend!!

Big rooms and bathrooms. Lots of lounging areas to talk or watch TV. Great firepit area with a rack for cooking over the fire. Loved sitting on the back decks overlooking the marsh. Only negatives is the high cleaning fee paid when we had to tidy up, strip the beds, gather the towels, and wash, dry, and put up the dishes when most places just have you load and start the dishwasher. Could also use some pitchers for making tea and lemonade. Only had one flimsy one and it was cracked so you could only do half a pitcher and you hadvto hold it with 2 hands on the sides to keep it from cracking worse.

Excellent location and customer service!!

I can’t say enough about this house and the customer service that went along with it! Bryan was STELLAR!!! He even brought us his own personal stock pots so we could crab boil! I mean WHO DOES THAT??? And at a rental house?? The house is located in one of the quietest spots on the island in my opinion! House is spacious, stocked well and everything is well taken care of! House is comfortably cold!!! The neighbors were very gracious and the fishing was FANTASTIC!! But most importantly to US, all the needs were EXTREMELY comfortable! No “shut down second hand hotel mattresses” in this house!!! Temperpedic all the way! Rent “Doctors Orders” and you will be thoroughly satisfied! WE’LL BE BACK FOR SURE!!!

We had a lovely stay, but were disapointed that the elevator was not working for the first days. That would have been disasterous had one of us been wheelchair bound. The communication was great, though. Unfortunately, the price has increased by nearly 2000 for next year.

Our home is listed with Evolve. Evolve uses dynamic pricing to set rates, much like the airlines. Please consider checking back closer to your desired vacation dates.
