Beautiful cozy cottage with 2 bedrooms (king & double bed, along with self inflating twin air mattress in closet - all linens are provided), 1 bath, free Wi- Fi, smart TV in every room, washer/dryer, full kitchen, BBQ, two paddle boards along with two kayaks to enjoy, bonfire pit, hammock for relaxing naps. The atmosphere is peaceful with beautiful views of wildlife, watch boats stroll up and down the river right from the back deck. Dock your own boat with access to boat launch 5 minutes away @ $5, bring your own life jackets. Stroll thru multiple lakes which include Crooked, Burt, and Mullet with endless adventures and historic scenery (swinging bridge, locks, boathouses, etc.). Enjoy local shopping, amazing restaurants, beaches, resorts, golfing, fabulous wineries, fishing, casino, sunset boat tours, river rafting/tubing (7 miles from Petoskey, 10 miles from Harbor Springs, 7 miles from Indian River, 25 miles from Mackinac Bridge, 28 miles from Charlevoix). Enjoy Pure Michigan at its finest.

Nice vacation spot.

Relaxing and cozy cabin. My daughter, myself and the fur babies had a nice getaway. Stress free. The owners are available when needed, nice people. Thank you Tamara and Jason!!

Holiday Getaway

This is our 3rd year stayibg at the cozy cottage over the Thanksgiving holiday. My daughter and family now consider this to be our tradition. The locarion, amenities and laid back vibe make this a perfect destination for iur family to alow down and enjoy the joliday and all the area has to offer each year. Great weekend getaway in a central location

Great communication by hosts, check in and out was a breeze. In a great central location between Indian River, Petoskey/Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City. Arrived to a clean, well stocked home. In the kitchen, lots of pans and plates. Seasoning cabinet well stocked, with some coffee and kuerig pods. Lots of mugs including an ugly one with a block M on it. Bathroom was clean, shower with good water pressure. Only used the master bedroom, but the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of extra bedding for the cooler nights. Outside, the deck was a nice place to enjoy your coffee and read. We used the two kayaks and had a nice cruise. (Water is low so getting in and out was a challenge with the ladder) Check out: some VRBO rentals have pretty extensive lists for checking out. Requirements here were better than average(plates in dishwasher, beddingat the end of the bed, take garbage out). Will say, many of the plates and cups are plastic which makes it challenging to load them all top shelf only. Food in the area: Bob's was decent for lunch. Northwoods surprised us pleasantly with good portions and great food. Vernales, though expensive, is always good for the last night steak and cocktail.

Excellent location!

We enjoyed a lovely little getaway here in October for a fall color tour. It was a great location for travel to Mackinaw, Tahquamenon Falls, Whitefish Point, Pictured Rocks and so much more. We brought our dog, Buddy, with us too! He felt right at home and enjoyed laying on his dog bed watching the river.

Life’s better on vacation!

Quick getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cottage was very clean and cozy. We had a great weekend paddling and kayaking up and down the river. The cottage has a great location near a lot of awesome spots including Petoskey and Legs Inn. We had a beautiful weekend. Thank you!!

Weekend Getaway

Such an adorable home. Was perfect for me and my husband and our 2 dogs. Was the best setup for us to bring our boat and just cruise along the river and lakes! We had a winderful stay!

Up North getaway

This cottage was perfect for us. Perfect location to family living in area & close to Petoskey without being in the main busy section. Burt lake nearby! Location, location, location……this is it! And the porch facing crooked river with beautiful scenery. Peaceful & relaxing! TY

Perfect cottge

This cottage had everything we needed and more. Super comfy and clean! We appreciated the added little touches and felt totally at home. It was excactly what we needed for a quick family snowboarding trip and we'd love to come back to experience it in the summer months as well. Exceptional property!

Cozy Cottage on River

We were skiing at Nubs Nob for the holiday weekend. The cottage was 15 minutes away so it worked out well. The communication with the property owners was great. We definitely would consider a return visit for sure!

Excellent Way to Start 2024

Stayed at this awesome place NYE 2023 (Dec 31 – Jan 2, 2024) with my GF. Views of the river's wildlife complemented the interior’s holiday décor. The area has numerous attractions during the winter – including downhill skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing. We had a lovely time. Highly recommend during the winter/cold months.

Holiday Retreat

We absolutely LOVE the Cozy Cottage♡♡ This has become our family tradition over Thanksgiving. We look forward to this hidden gem. It's set back on the water. Perfect getaway to relax and unwind and a perfect location for day outings. The house is always prestine and stocked with all amenities and more. We love our morning walks and coffee and so do our pups! Tamara & Jason are great hosts. Very welcoming and helpful! This will always be a place we look forward to going to as a family. Highly recommend any time of year!

Amazing River front cottage

Wonderful cottage and location!

We decided to stay at the cozy cottage based on the beautiful photos with the listing. When we got to the cottage we were very pleased to find that the cottage was even cuter than the photos showed! It had everything we needed for our 3 day stay and the backyard was the perfect spot to relax in the late afternoon after sightseeing all day. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners also knew we were celebrating our honeymoon and left us some chocolate and Prosecco which we found to be so thoughtful. Highly recommend this place for your stay! We hope to come back one day to further explore the beautiful area.

Perfect Cottage

Tamara and Jason are the perfect hosts! The cottage was extremely clean and well stocked with all the essentials and more. They even provided a wonderful bottle of wine on arrival. The location was an easy drive to Petoskey, Harbor Springs and the ferry to Mackinac Island. I loved being able to watch all the boats pass the cottage on Crooked River. Very peaceful. I would definitely stay here again. Such a gem!

Great Place to Relax!

This truly was a cozy cottage. It was clean, cute, and had everything we needed. Tammy was communicative through the process and it was the perfect location - it felt like it was close to everything! We went up to do some hiking and it was the perfect spot to come back to and relax in the evening. We didn't get to utilize the deck as much as we hoped because the weather was too cold, but i imagine in the summer it is the perfect hang out spot. The bed was comfy, the water pressure in the shower was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely Anniversary Trip

We had a great time here! Cute and comfortable cabin! The river was calm and sitting on the back deck was wonderful. The boat ride to the connecting lakes was a little longer than expected, but still a lovely location and took nothing away from the cabin and the experience here.

Adorable Cottage

The cottage was adorable, very clean and provided everything you need for a great stay. You really don't have to bring anything except your clothes and food. The beds were extremely comfortable with really soft sheets, which made for a great night sleep. We loved how close it was to Petoskey and Mackinac. We will definitely plan on staying again. Thank you, Tammy and Jason for opening up your cottage to us.
