Instead, we offer accommodation in an authentic Kyomachiya officially designated by Kyoto City. Our guest space occupies the entire second floor of the property, and we host only one group per stay, ensuring your complete privacy.

I have decided to turn this "Kyoto City-designated Machiya," a testament to the traditions of old Kyoto, into lodging for visitors from overseas.
"Kyoto City-designated Machiya" are officially recognized by the city of Kyoto. These Machiya are subject to various restrictions to protect and preserve the history and culture of Kyoto, making their repair and operation more challenging than regular Machiya.
However, I believe that by maintaining this "Kyoto City-designated Machiya" and providing accommodation to people from all over the world, while contributing even a little to the enjoyable trip of travelers, the significance of the "Kyoto City-designated Machiya" system and the building itself will be further enhanced.
There is no greater joy for me than if "Hanatsunagi hotel," a "Kyoto City-designated Machiya," can provide a relaxing time for all of our guests and become one of the fond memories of their trip.
We sincerely look forward to your stay.
