Riverfront Rental Sits on a quiet street in downtown South Elgin. This home gives you complete access to the Fox River. The bedrooms are on the main level, along with a beautiful kitchen featuring cherry cabinets and an island with breakfast bar, and an awesome four-season porch overlooking the backyard and the beautiful river setting. The second-level loft has great natural light . Outside, you'll find concrete patio and walkway, and stairs leading down to the river and firepit. I don't allow any PARTIES!! of any kind ,NO smoking, No Pets . No eating in the bedrooms. PLEASE KNOW THAT I HAVE security cameras on my property outside. please follow and read all the house rules before booking.

This trip was so enjoyable, and we were able to let the kids swim, have enough space for our family, and everything was so clean. Any minor issues or questions were answered and fixed in a timely manner. We will be returning to this house for future vacations in the area!

Cute place right on the water

Cozy with lots of beds. A great pick for patio gathering and fun at the river. place was clean and had lots of little amenities on site.

Great place great host!

Sweet house on the Fox River away from the city craziness, but plenty of stuff nearby. Host was beyond accommodating! And we can't think them enough! 10/10

BEWARE!

This property has INSIDE cameras! We noticed it on the enclosed porch which has a window directly under it that shows the bathroom area. When the owner was asked about it they stated “it’s not on when guests are there” how are we supposed to believe that! It’s creepy and gross! The neighborhood is a bit rough, the neighbors across the street were out until 1am playing loud music and partying

A new favorite rental

The house was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The downstairs area was the perfect size for me and my husband. We enjoyed the multiple options for sitting and watching the river (enclosed back porch, or back yard). Good birding, too. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed walking across the nearby bridge to the greenway trail on the other side of the river. We hope to stay again next time we visit the area!

Comfortable, charming home

I loved all of the touches in the home. It's got a lot of vintage charm with all of the comforts of home. The snacks and waters left by the owner were such a nice, welcoming touch. The owner was super quick to answer my questions. The river outside was really nice to sit by. I wish we would have had just a little more time there so we could have enjoyed the firepit but all in all a great place to stay.

Nature in the suburbs

We really enjoyed being able to see the river & ducks & geese from this rental. In the morning we woke up hearing red winged blackbirds singing and mallards quacking. Being on a dead end street is a bonus, unless you like traffic. Unless we missed it in the rental description, you may want to inform people about the steep, slippery stairs to upper beds. We did fine but a second hand rail may be helpful. We really enjoyed this rental & hope to return next spring.

Quaint, cute house, great review view

While visiting grandparents during Thanksgiving week, needed a place to sleep and this was just great for us. Cute little house as shown in photos and as listed, with eclectic and whimsical decor, plenty of beds and well stocked kitchen. Host Luci is very kind, communicative and accommodating. We loved watching the wildlife on the river each morning from the living room and also from the Sun room that has a separate space heater. Too cold this time but I can imagine kayaking in the summer months.

Our river front stay

My husband and I really enjoyed this property. It was very clean. The temperature in the house was comfy. It did rain on the Saturday we were there which was a bummer because it was the day we had all the outdoor activities on the river planned, so we did not get to enjoy those options. Maybe we will have to return again to try them out??

I got this house for families that just want to get together and relax. To sit by the river during the day and then that time enjoy a really nice fire pit. It's really about connecting with family members and getting back to enjoying life. There are so many reasons why I do not allow parties I hope you understand but with only 3 hours between reservations . It doesn't leave much time to deal with any damages extra trash or problems for the neighborhood

Love the location! They are two very nice parks within a half a block from the house. The police station is across the dam which is only a block from the house. There is an outdoor pavilion that holds summer concerts with the splash pad that's a block from the house. The house sits in the perfect area where you'll find really restaurants. With a short drive you're near Elgin St Charles -Geneva -Batavia. You'r about a 45 minute drive from Chicago

What makes my proper unique I believe is the wildlife and fishing. You can sit in the backyard and see American bald eagles. Different types of Hawks. And all my guests really enjoy telling me the stories about the fish that got away
