Vacation with friends

This property is lovely. It’s easy to access, minutes from Fish Creek and shopping and restaurants. Clean home! And as for the previous reviews - don’t bring toilet paper. There is a plethora!

Great home

The property was as listed. Close to everything in DC. There were 7 of us for the weekend. House worked great for us. Kitchen was well stocked, extra toilet paper was on site. Plenty of towels including beach towels for the hot tub.

Perfect location

This property was as listed and was the perfect amount of space for our girls weekend. We enjoyed seeing deer walk past the house and the quietness of the location. The house had all the amenities we needed. The only 2 downfalls of our stay was that there was no curtain on the upstairs bathroom, so some of our group did not feel comfortale using that bathroom after dark and the other downfall was that we had to have all the towels in the dryer before we left. We managed to make the towel drying work, but it would have been better if we could have just started them in the washing machine. I would certainly come back here again.

Charming House

This is our second stay at the Apple Orchard House. We love the location - away from crowds with dark skies that rival Newport State Park. We were disappointed in the check out requirements. The dishes needed to be washed & put away and the towels needed to be in the dryer. We stay in at least 5 vacation rentals a year & are typically asked to start the dishwasher & gather the towels before departure. We paid a hefty “cleaning fee” for this rental, which should have included emptying the dishwasher & doing the laundry.

Beautiful, comfortable home. Lots of yard space for kids to run around. We especially loved walking on the trail, making s'mores, and catching fireflies! You will be awakened by lots of natural sunlight. Bring blackout curtains if that's not something you're a fan of!

We loved the house. It was clean & comfortable. The ONLY downside was that there were so many fruit flies.

Such a lovely place!

Four retired teachers rented the property for three nights. We had planned a hiking holiday and wanted a comfortable, centrally located home. This property exceeded our expectations! It’s one of the rare places that looks even better in person than in the pictures. It was immaculate and the kitchen was really well stocked and organized. The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and charmingly decorated as well. We would definitely recommend this home and would love to come back to stay!
