Step back in time and experience the charm of yesteryear at 702 Retro Villa, a unique and affordable getaway on K'gari (Fraser Island). With its retro style and original, un-renovated features, this villa offers a nostalgic atmosphere, giving you a truly one-of-a-kind accommodation experience.



Air conditioning is in both bedrooms and living areas.



The Space:

2 Bedroom, 1 Queen + 2 King Singles. We supply all linen, towels for your stay, including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, blankets, a bathmat, and tea towels. The villa is also supplied with toilet paper, paper towels, glad wrap, foil, and salt & pepper. BBQ on the deck.



To add to the retro fun, the villa now features a virtual pinball machine with over 1,300 games — perfect for winding down after a day on the beach or keeping the kids (and big kids) entertained in the evenings.



Guest Access:

Access to the Villa will be via a key lock box. Guests may access the public facilities within the Kingfisher Bay village area, including pools, dining outlets and the general store. These facilities are operated independently and are not managed by K’gari Stay. Charges cannot be billed to the villa.

While we may be a remote destination, we're here to ensure your stay is effortless and enjoyable.

The Village Store caters to all of your island essentials... share a bottle of wine with friends, choose a new swimsuit or pick up the perfect souvenir. Plus, there's a range of grocery items, snacks, books and kids' toys, not to mention ice and fuel for adventures across the sand tracks.



K'gari is the world's largest sand island and an area of remarkable natural beauty. It was listed as a World Heritage Area in 1992 to recognise the island's internationally significant natural features:



-evolving dune, lake, soil and forest systems, the extent and age of which are outstanding examples of ongoing geological and biological processes

-unique landscapes, which are examples of superlative natural occurrences.

Growing on seemingly infertile sands are a great variety of plant communities ranging from coastal heath, mangrove forests and swamps to subtropical rainforest.



The many archaeological remains found on K'gari record thousands of years of culture and tradition, and provide important links to their past for the Butchulla people.



The island is 123km long and covers an area of 166,038ha, so you need to allow plenty of time to explore and appreciate it.



K’gari Stay is an independent operator and is not affiliated with any resort.



Getting Around:

The property is a 5-10 minute walk to the resort for someone with medium fitness.
