Short but sweet.
I stayed here with my German Shepherd (dog friendly) without an issue. The cottage is decorated with decor from the past (violin, an old type of guitar and an old upright piano). The fireplace and beamed walls make you feel like you stepped back in time. The unit was impeccable clean and they’ve added a lot of extras (ie: spices, oil, hairdryer, shampoo etc). The bed was just firm enough and the linens fit the theme along with the decor. The cottage is isolated and makes you feel like you are in the middle of no where (in a good way). So very quiet at night and the song birds in the morning are amazing. The only drawback is the bugs (blackflies, moskitos and dearflies) The dragon flies where working overtime to keep them to a minimum but a bit of deet was definitely a must. The cottage is a short drive to Eagles Nest Trail and lots of cute restaurants, ice cream stores, small shops and cafes.I would definitely return only next time I will wait until later in the year only because I really react to bites. Most people might be fine. Big Thankyou to the hosts for sharing your beautiful time capsule cozy cottage with us.
