Take in the stunning views of South Bay and the Kaikoura mountain range from the upstairs bar/lounge.
This property is just 100m from the boat ramp with plenty of parking for cars, boats, motorhomes, and caravans. It is also a short walk to the reserve and the beautiful Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway. For fishing enthusiasts, there's a dedicated fish filleting table located at the property. Perfect for families or groups, this spacious retreat offers the ideal spot for adventure or relaxation.
The whole house and back yard are yours to use. There is a shed/studio at the front of the property that is not available to rent but may be used occasionally by other guests. We ensure it won't interfere with your stay and respect your privacy and comfort during your stay. Large groups may enquire about bathroom access for an additional charge.

We loved this place, so did our dog, it was great to have it fully fenced. From the little toilet paper flowers to the heat pump being turned on before we arrive, so it was so warm and toasty. We loved sitting upstairs watching the world go by. Being close to the sea was a plus. We will be back. Can't recommend this place enough.

Amazing Spot!

Loved our stay in South Bay! The house was perfect for our family of 5. Nice and quiet, and a stunning view from upstairs. Great view of the bay from up the hill behind the house. Plenty of heating to keep us warm in a cold Kaikoura southerly, and there were even some hottie bottles to warm up our beds. Good kitchen with everything we needed, and very good washing machine and dryer. Only 5mins drive or a 30min walk to the town centre. 5 min walk to the south end of the Kaikoura peninsula walkway. Might come back for a summer trip with our boat!

Relaxing stay

Great location with stunning views to sea and mountains from upstairs. Comfortable beds and well set up kitchen with everything you need.
