Cream of the Crop

Mary and John are lovely hosts. I can’t promise this will happen for every guest, but as we pulled into our parking spot, they opened the front door of their studio to greet us and give an explanation of their home. They care a lot about the Carbondale community, and you’ll get to feel that as soon as you start to explore the town. Their home was well equipped for our stay, was spacious, comfortable, and clean. I hope for the chance to stay here again in future Carbondale visits.

Highly Recommend

The listing was exactly as advertised. Well appointed, nice layout and private. Impressive outdoor space with huge deck. Location is stellar right off of Main St. Walked pretty much everywhere. Ideal for us, as we needed 2 beds and 2 baths for the 4 guests. Highly recommend and would book again.

Perfection!!!

My sister and I came to Carbondale to attend the July mountain art fair in town, and couldn't have been more ecstatic with the perfection of Mary and John's artist's loft digs! First of all, Mary and John are just stellar people who added to the richness of our experience. The location of the loft was incredible as it was right across the street from Sopris Park, where the art fair was being held. Talk about convenient! The loft itself was just beautiful. Very spacious, immaculate, and so tastefully decorated with artistic flare, especially with Mary's glass artistry. The private deck was icing on the cake as we enjoyed meals outside, listening to stage performances from the park. We were not only comfortable, we were pinching ourselves every day at the luxury and convenience of our accommodations. Our heartfelt thanks to Mary and John for making our stay so fun and one that we will remember always. :-)

Beautiful apartment centrally located to Aspen, Glenwood Springs, Redstone and Marble. Very clean and extremely comfortable. The patio was an extra bonus. Mary and John were wonderful hosts.

Relaxing!

Very pleased staying at this property. Our hosts, Mary & John were pleasant and accommodated our needs. Clean and bright rooms. Nice size bathrooms. Lots of light in rooms and a full kitchen. Enjoyed the art history and pretty summer plants. I would definitely stay here again.

Really, Really great property and great hosts. Location could not have been better. Really well-appointed Kitchen and we did cook in mostly. Wonderfully furnished and tastefully decorated. Five stars says it all!

We enjoyed staying here. We didn’t have hot water for the first day but since the property owners are at their business everyday underneath the rental, they took care of us immediately.

Winter home away from home

Mary and John have a charming, private property right in the center of Carbondale. We had bus service to Aspen and could walk to the grocery store , library, recreation center, movie theater and restaurants. The apartment had all the conveniences of home with plenty of storage for our ski equipment. Mary and John were always available as their glass studio is on the property. Our 3 months here were so comfortable that we have plans to come back next year. This accommodation far exceeded our expectations!

Absolutely Wonderful

Everything about the Artists Loft was perfect. The property is very well designed and cared for. The kitchen is very well equipped, and everything from utensils to pots and pans to glassware is excellent quality. Clean? Spotless is more like it. The owners are friendly, welcoming hosts, and they are very responsive to questions about the Loft or the Carbondale area. We 100% enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful Private Loft with Walk-to-Downtown Accessibility

Perfectly appointed loft above Mary and John's working stained glass studio. The upstairs apartment is quiet and very private. Mary and John make themselves available promptly when needed. Located a block from downtown Carbondale, this apartment has easy access to coffee shops, boutiques, a movie theater, parks, bike path, restaurants and more. An attached private deck with table and rooftop/treetop views was our al fresco dining spot during the warmer months. Highly recommend!

Nice and roomy in the middle of town

Nicely decorated, nice and roomy, quiet and comfortable, upstairs from Many and John's glass working shop. Just off Main St. so totally walkable to the Carbondale core. We were visiting our daughter who lives in Carbondale and we will definitely try to stay here whenever we return.

Exceptional Artist Loft

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful VRBO for a month. It was wonderful in every way and the property owners John and Mary are the best. They have thought of everything you would want and need to make your stay exceptional. The view of Mt. Sopris from the living room is so beautiful. The loft is very spacious and we loved that you could walk to so many good restaurants from this location. We will definitely come back to enjoy this beautiful VRBO.
